Tutorial 1: Introduction and Preparation -  SAP HANA Cloud

Hello, if you're looking for guidance on the basics of SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA database, you're in the right place. The following mission applies to trial accounts. But if you have a productive account, you can use it too. This is Alex. They are the CEO of a global travel agency called Best Run Travel. As a global agency, Best Run Travel has data from many different affiliates. Alex needs to know the top five partners of their agency. He wants to find out the days with maximum booking of each partner. Best run travel uses SAP HANA Cloud to store and manage all its data. Now, your mission is to help Alex find a subset of the data related to the Partner Sales and create a way for Alex to share this subset with other departments at Best Run Travel. My name is Chris, and I will be guiding you through the steps needed to help Alex get business insights for Best Run Travel. This mission is divided into eight modules. Each module builds on the previous one to help you complete the mission and help Alex get insights for their business Best Run Travel. Remember, your goal is to use SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA database to find a subset of the data related to partner sales and create a way to share the subset with other departments in Best Run Travel. A prerequisite for this mission is to have signed up for the SAP HANA Cloud trial. You can pause here while you sign up. Good luck with your mission. Alex is counting on you. Okay, let's get started. You now have a trial account of SAP HANA Cloud. In SAP BTP cockpit Your global account, sub account and space are set up automatically. The first step is to check if you have all the correct entitlements. Click on your sub account, then click on Entitlements on the left-hand side menu. Make sure you have the entitlements highlighted on the screen. Now, if not, on the top right-hand corner, click on Configure Entitlements, then click on Add Service Plans. Search for HANA, select the SAP HANA Cloud entitlements and the SAP HANA schemas and HDI containers. Click on Edit the Services. And then on the top right-hand side, make sure to click on save.
