Hello, my name is Cheryl and welcome to Uncover Insights with SAP Commissions Embedded Analytics. This video provides a quick overview of the embedded analytics solution and discusses its key features and benefits. SAP understands that organizations thrive on information and communication. SAP Commissions embedded analytics streamlines the entire process of communicating sales compensation data. By providing easy to consume, fast and reliable access in real time to sales data. It also requires little implementation time and is natively connected to SAP Commissions. Embedded analytics helps, Payees and Sales Reps know where they stand regarding their goals. It helps Sales Managers understand the health of their team along with other key management metrics. And it helps other departments like Finance know how the business is doing from a global perspective. All in a graphical, interactive manner. Every time you run a Pipeline in SAP Commissions with “Update Analytics” checked in the Pipelines’ workspace, commissions data is updated in embedded analytics. There are 23 standard stories in embedded enalytics. A story is a presentation-style document that uses charts, visualizations, text, images, and pictograms to describe data. These are pre-configured and ready to use. These stories cover a wide variety of data points. The pre-configured stories help drive incentive compensation decision making, and sales strategies and it can be implemented in days to drive behaviors that are proven to beat the competition. Embedded analytics standard stories are visually captivating and allow the user to drill down to detailed information quickly. The solution is self-service, with interactive data exploration. No longer do users have to wait for someone to provide reports. The data is there, ready for consumption. Embedded analytics also maintains current role-based permissions without having to re-build them within analytics. This way users will only see data they have been granted access to. These stories can help each group of users make actionable and accurate decisions to increase business productivity. SAP believes in transparency. Using stories within embedded analytics, end users can view current sales compensation data. Now, let’s take a look at some key features in the solution. First I’ll show you the story from a Sales Rep perspective, then I’ll display the Manager perspective and lastly, I’ll go back to the Administrator view. Let’s say it’s close to the end of the month and the Sales Reps need to find out where they stand regarding their goals. These options are for a Sales Rep. Once they click on this story, they can see their transactions. The access to sales information, will help motivate the Sales Rep to take action to meet their sales goals. Sales Managers typically need additional sales data. They not only need to know how their team is doing, but they also need to know key metrics and data for individual reps.  In a similar scenario as the one we just discussed with the Sales Rep, the Sales Manager can view the same story to view sales transactions for their entire team. They can also click on individual Sales Rep to get additional data. Again, this information will help the Manager determine where they need to focus their attention on and what actions they need to take. Now, I’ll log in as an Administrator. Administrators can use embedded analytics to create stories, format reports and communicate the resulting stories. The pre-configured standard stories helps cut down the time Administrators take to gather and publish data. Other users such as the Finance, or other senior leaders can be granted access to gain additional insights that can be used to make forecasting or other decisions for the company.  The data shown within the story is based on a specific data model. There are 10 data models. Two of them are Administrator specific. Data models determine which measures and dimensions can be used for analysis in a story. Only Admins and Authors can create a story. I’ll quickly demonstrate how to create a basic story if the 23 standard stories don’t meet your business need. I'll click this plus sign to add a story. I’ll select Commissions. I can select the Data Model. These are the choices. For further information on Data Models please check out openSAP Microlearning. I’ll select this Data Model and create a story based on the payee transactions. I’ll select the chart format. Next, I’ll select these dimensions and measures. Once I have the data formatted in a manner in which meets my business need, I can communicate this customized story to a payee or a Team or other groups of users. Let’s share this story. First I’ll click the save icon. I have the option to save the story to “My Files” which is a general location. Or I can save it to a folder. The recommendation is always to  save it to a folder. I’ll click the folder icon to add a new folder. I’ll name this folder. I'll name this story. I'll click the folder to open it. Now, I can save this story to the specific folder I just created. Next, let's share this story. I'll click the share icon. Here you can select individual users or teams. You can also select the access that the individual user or team has in relation to this specific story. For this example, I’ll leave  as a “view” access only. Teams are a group of users and is a great option to use. Administrators can create Teams to expedite the sharing of the story with multiple users all at once. For further information on Teams please check out openSAP Microlearning. Let’s take a look at this story from the main screen. As you can see the story I just created is located within it’s corresponding folder. Embedded analytics for SAP Commissions is a key tool for any sales organization. It provides fast access to sales data and is a self service type of tool for end users and above. For further embedded analytics videos please check out openSAP Microlearning to view a full suite of topics.
