Upselling an Opportunity using Activity Planning in SAP Sales Cloud

SAP cloud for customer can be configured to identify potential upsell opportunities for your sales team, helping them to sell more and add value to their customers.  In this tutorial, we will see one of the ways to do so.  Imagine this scenario where a sales agent is selling laptops to a large corporation in Germany.  When he is close to completing a deal, the system prompts him to sell warranty as well. To demonstrate this use case, we will create an activity plan that adds an upsell task to an opportunity on a particular set of conditions, and the associate and routing rule are fulfilled.  Let's start by creating an activity plan.  Choose the Activity Planner and go to plans.  Create a new activity plan.  Give your new plan a name and save.  Now let's navigate to the activity plan you have just created.  This is the activity Plan overview page. Let's create a new task. Choose new. Here we will define our task by filling up the subject,  category, priority and more.  We'll write out our subject, choose customer visit and have this as an immediate priority.  Assign this automatically and add it to your plan.  You have now seen how to create an activity plan in your SAP cloud for customer system.  Next, we're going to learn how to create routing rules in our SAP cloud for customer system.  First, choose the routing rules.  Then choose the create icon.  Enter your description and make your business application an opportunity.  Press save. Now let's search for the routing rule we have just created.  This is the routing rule overview page. Let's add conditions within a group. First create a group. Choosing add group.  The field will be status and the compare operator will be equal to one.  Finish by pressing okay.  Choose the plus icon to add a condition.  This conditions distribution channel will be equal to direct sales.  Let's add another condition.  The product category ID will contain computer equipment.  Let's add one more condition.  The sales organization ID will equal 2000.  Once you're finished adding your conditions to save.  Now let's add an activity plan to your routing rule.  Choose add. Enter. Upsell. Laptop. Warranty plan.  Go to actions and select Set as active.  You have now seen how to create routing rules in your SAP cloud for customer system.  Now we're going to see the activity plan and routing rule in action.  I will select an opportunity that will fulfill all conditions defined in the routing rule. When the opportunity is set to one,  first choose sales, then choose opportunities.  Search and select your opportunity.  Navigate to Sales activities.  Choose actions and select set as one.  Choose the reason for status as one due to price.  Then select okay.  Make sure to refresh your page by choosing actions  and selecting refresh from activity plan.  As you can see, the sales activity has now appeared in your opportunity.  You have now seen the activity plan and routing rule in action.  This concludes the tutorial.
