Using AI to Enhance Job Posting Descriptions in SAP Fieldglass

SAP Fieldglass released a new AI-enhanced feature that strengthens job postings and job posting template descriptions for more efficient and better jobseeker submissions. Previously, creating effective job descriptions for new roles and updating existing job descriptions in SAP Fieldglass could be time-consuming for users and require specialist knowledge and expertise from users within the application. The time-consuming aspects caused job descriptions to be shorter than ideal, as nearly a quarter of job postings sent to suppliers in past years were expected to have job descriptions with 100 characters or less. The short job descriptions caused suppliers to misunderstand the requirements for the job posting, enabling unsuitable or unqualified job seekers to be submitted, leading to extra work for hiring managers and longer cycle times for the company's overall hiring process. in the AI Enhanced Job Description feature for SAP Fielglas. Users in the application can use generative AI to produce or enhance more complete and relevant job descriptions in SAP Fielglas. Users are given control of the information they provide for the job posting description generation. Their information options include the job title, existing job descriptions, and skills or qualification data. There are several benefits of the AI enhanced job description. First, employees can see improved productivity amongst their teams, as using this feature will reduce the time spent crafting effective job descriptions, allowing more time to focus on other tasks. Next, processes will be more streamlined. By enhancing the job descriptions, suppliers will have a clearer understanding of the job posting requirements, and submit job seekers who closely match those requirements. This will reduce the volume of unsuitable candidates submitted per role. The AI Enhanced Job Description feature applies to all industries within the SAP Fieldglass application. High volume hiring industries could see larger impacts. Contextual prompts are also used to set clear instructions and include safeguard items to avoid any unwanted bias. Having more comprehensive job descriptions will provide improved indicators to help with unbiased data-driven decision-making. Specifically, with SAP Fieldglass's AI-enhanced feature to rank job resumes in the application. SAP Fieldglass users are encouraged to enhance job posting templates as much as possible. With AI-enhanced job posting description capabilities, a user indicates the job posting process, then chooses data prompts and controls inputs or outputs for the feature. AI uses the provided information to generate an enhanced job posting description. Hiring managers can review the generated content and perform any required modifications as needed. The AI enhanced description is then published to suppliers for job seekers' submission after the job posting is created. Here is how you could utilise AI to generate an enhanced job posting description in the SAP Fieldglass application. First, select Create from the left navigation menu. Then, select Job Hosting for Worker under the Contingent Labour heading. You are looking to hire an Administrative Assistant for the next six months to help with managing a new company filing system. Select the Administrative Assistant job hosting template from the list. Select the Start Date calendar icon and select June 3rd, 2024. Enter 6 in the end date box since you will hire the worker for 6 months. Select months from the end date drop down menu, then select calculate end date. You are hiring one administrative assistant so you will leave the number of positions as is. If a job posting title exists and the job posting supports editing job descriptions, a description is pulled directly from the company's job posting template. Otherwise, this is where the user will create their own description to enhance with AI and translate with AI. Here we can see the job posting description that automatically copied over from the administrative assistant job posting template. Select Enhance with AI to update the job posting description so job seekers who closely match the requirements are submitted to the position. The first time you use the AI Enhance job posting description feature, an artificial intelligence consent message appears. This is to ensure you review all the data generated by AI and adjust the output after as needed. You will select OK. The set prompts are the input for content creation and allow the hiring manager to decide what will be used to enhance the job posting description. The application can remember the prompts you select for future use. Since you would like to use the same prompts the next time you enhance the job posting description with AI, you leave the box checked. You also add qualifications to better improve the description efficiency. 500 word count is double the original description, thus more extensively describing what you are looking for. Leave the target word count as is. Now satisfied with the prompt choices, select Generate. The side-by-side comparison shows the original description compared to the AI-generated description. The AI-generated descriptions will provide much more clearer and comprehensive description of requirements. Select Accept. The updated AI generated description is now automatically populated in the description box of the Create Job Posting page. You may continue to modify the generated description and tune the content as needed. And that is how the AI Enhanced Job Posting Description feature in SAP Fieldglass supplements job posting descriptions for more efficient hiring cycles and better job seeker candidate submissions.
