Using the Sanity Check Tile to Get Guidance on Segmentation Configuration Issues in SAP Marketing Cloud

Welcome. In this video, we'll introduce the new Marketing Cloud feature that helps you keep your segmentation healthy. Sanity check. Use this new sanity check tile to find any problematic segmentation configuration issues, and get guidance on how to fix them. The sanity check tile alerts to a variety of issues that occur in your segmentation. For example, it will give you a warning message in the following cases. If you have attributes that are visible but obsolete. If you have attributes that are used but invisible, or if there's any missing key mapping. Currently, the sanity check tile provides this information, but there is more to come, such as checks on custom views and custom business objects. Let's look at the system to see where to find this new feature and how to use it. The sanity Check tile has been added to the Segmentation Configuration app, so let's start by opening the app. This is the new tile. I can immediately notice that I have some issues with my segmentation. Let's open the tile and see what issue we have in our segmentation. We have two segmentation issues. Let's look at the second one. It tells me what the issue is and how I can solve it. There is one attribute that is visible for export but obsolete. What do I need to do to solve this issue? It recommends that I set the attribute to invisible unless the attributes are used intensively. We check the were used of the attribute in the production system and found no usages, so we can easily change it to invisible. I click on the data source to get more details about the data source and attributes that are affected. This is the attributes we need to solve. Click on the attribute and the corresponding attribute in this data source opens up. I can also see the lifecycle status is obsolete, but it's still available in the data in the expert definition as the sanity check it. I'm going to change this attribute to invisible. To do that I click edit. Uncheck the box available in export definition and save it. Done. Now let's go back and refresh the page. The error message is gone. It means this attribute isn't visible in the export definition, and therefore users won't be confused. In this video, we learned about the new Sanity Check tile that alerts you to a variety of issues that occur in your segmentation.
