Utilizing the Identity Access Tool in SAP Customer Data Cloud

In this video, you'll learn how to use the Identity Access Tool in the SAP Customer Data Cloud Console to search for user profiles and as well as perform admin actions on each individual profile. First, go to the site where you would like to view users, and then click the Identity Access menu on the left hand side. This brings up the user table, which shows the total number of users in the database for the site. The table shows for each user the name, registered email address, data sensor, gender, age. The last time the user record was updated, the identities associated with the user, and whether the user is a fully registered user. You can also saw to users in the table by the gender, age, and last updated columns. Use the search fields at the top of the page to search for individual user profiles. You can search by email uid user name, first name, last name, full name, and custom items. Click on the fields button where you can filter by registration status, as well as for verified and unverified accounts. Identity access also enables you to run advanced search queries by creating custom web clauses, such as searching for verified users over the age of 20. Let's say I want to search for a user accounts to see inside the user's profile. I'm searching for a user with the first name Sara, so I'll type it in the search and hit enter. When the result comes up, I'll click on it to go inside the user profile. Here in the profile you'll find the user's account data, personal data, and as well as any customer data that was collected. On the left side, you will see a list of admin actions that you can directly perform on the user's records. They include verifying an email address resending verification emails, sending reset passwords, emails, removing identities, resetting TFA devices, forcing TFA expiration, unlocking the accounts, disabling the login, and deleting the accounts. Under the profile tab, there are additional tabs for the user accounts, which we will briefly go through. In the groups tab, it shows you any groups that the user belongs to. In the preferences tab, you'll see the users subscriptions and communication preferences. In the privacy tab, you'll find a list of consent statements that the user has accepted. This includes the version of the accepted consent and the date it was accepted on. The Consent History tab shows a timeline of all the users consent history. You can search the user's consent history by date, range, consent type, action tags, and consent name or ID. Lastly, in the Audit Log tab, you can view the audit log per user. It shows a log of the users actions on your site. For example, when the profile was updated or when the user logged in, you're also able to filter by dates and users actions. We hope you've enjoyed this microlearning video on SAP Customer Data Cloud's Identity Access tool. Thank you for watching.
