Working with External Tools like Dreamweaver in Legacy Editor in SAP Marketing Cloud

Do you have an agency build your creative content? If yes, you know that they can do fantastic things. But often they use different design tools. With SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud. It's easy to upload content from a variety of creative tools. Emily is a designer at a creative marketing agency. She puts together responsive email templates in tools like Photoshop, InDesign, or Dreamweaver. Currently, she is creating a template for her customer, John, and his email campaign. Because Emily uses an external design tool to create responsive emails for SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud, she has to consider the rules explained in the SAP application help. Emily also considers responsive web design when creating the different blocks in rows and columns. And she assigns the SAP standard Style class. This way, she makes sure that her template looks good and renders well on a variety of devices and window or screen sizes. To jumpstart the process, she uses the pharmaceutical email template from the application Help and opens it in Dreamweaver. But Emily could use any other web design tool available in the code view. She wants to add the first name as a personalization attribute. Therefore, Emily copies the sample code for the first time from the application help and paste set. Then Emily sends the file to her customer. John. John, a marketing expert at a pharmaceutical company, creates an email template in SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud based on the file he received from Emily. During the upload, a sanitizer parses the HTML and detects and deletes critical statements for security reasons. The HTML is enriched by needed data like subject block link IDs and image IDs. Attributes such as the first name that were added in the design tool are adopted. John creates a specific version for cardiologists with specific content. He saves and downloads the email to send it back to his agency for improvements. During the download, a JavaScript function is generated and placed into the export HTML file header. When Emily opens the file with this JavaScript function in Dreamweaver, condition definitions are extracted and displayed as a list of buttons. So it is easy for Emily to switch between content blocks. Emily checks the new condition added by John. And that's how John and Emily can seamlessly work together across platforms. To get John's email template ready in no time.
