Working with Workflows in SmartEdit in SAP Commerce Cloud

Hi, my name is William and in this video I'll present the workflow feature in SmartEdit. When it comes to managing the content of a website, users after need to collaborate with other stakeholders. Here we're talking about a multi-step process to help you orchestrate tasks around content preparation and publishing, and coordinate team collaboration. SmartEdit now supports CMS workflows out of the box. SmartEdit now supports CMS workflows out of the box. You can start a workflow if you're logged in as either a CMS manager or CMS editor. From the workflow pull down menu. You can select the workflow, for example translate page and approve. Note that it's possible to create more workflows using the Administration Cockpit. The workflow feature also offers the option to create a page version. Once you label it, you'll have an easier time to distinguish between the original version and later versions. For example, a translated version of the page. As soon as the workflow is started, the different stakeholders like the website translator or website editor will receive a notification of the task they've been assigned to. When they finish the assigned task, they can send it back to the CMS manager for approval. The status of the page will change according to the status of the tasks included in the workflow.
