1. What are live sessions?
An interactive learning format. Ask questions, get answers, and connect with others.
2. How do I find live sessions?
- Search by topic
- Enter a keyword in the search bar, then select Learning Type → Live Sessions to view all available sessions related to your topic.
- Browse all live sessions
- Go to “Learn → By Learning Type → Live Sessions” to explore the full catalog of upcoming live sessions.
- Use the top navigation
- Go to “My Learning”, select “Live Sessions → Explore More.”
In addition, some learning journeys may offer listings of “Related Live Sessions.”
3. How do I register for a live session?
To register for a live session, you need an active SAP Learning Hub subscription. If you don't have one yet, you can purchase a subscription from the SAP Store.
Once you're logged in:
- Search for the live session you'd like to attend.
- Click View schedule to see the available session dates.
- Select the date that works best for you and click Register.
- A confirmation message will appear, and the session will be added to My Learning → Live Sessions for easy access.
Tip
Register early to secure your spot and add the session to your calendar so you don't miss it.

4. How do I cancel my registration for a live session?
To withdraw from a live session, go to the Live Sessions page and click "Unregister.”
You can also go to “My Learning” and click the calendar icon on the left-hand side. This will show your Upcoming Sessions. To make changes, click on the three dot menu, which will give you an option to “Unregister.”
5. How can I see the live sessions I’ve registered for?
On the learning.sap.com homepage, go to “My Learning → Live Sessions” to see all the upcoming events for which you’ve registered.
6. How can I hide my personal data in SAP Live Sessions?
Like in many video conferences, Live Sessions can offer interactive functionality that can expose your personal data to other attendees, such as name, video picture, sound, chat text. You are welcome to do so, however if you prefer, you have the option to hide your personal data.
Rename yourself during a meeting
Change the display name from when you join.
- In the meeting controls, click Participants.
- Hover over your name and click More.
- Click Rename.
- In the dialog box, enter your new display name.
- Click Rename.
How to hide your video
When joining a Zoom meeting, your camera will not be started by default.
Disabling your video is one of the best ways to ensure your privacy when joining a meeting.
In-session system demos, surveys or quizzes
If you take part in any in-session system demo, survey, or quiz tool that requires user account creation, please use a nickname or another identifier that does not disclose your personal identity or personal information.
Using virtual backgrounds for added privacy
This is a great way to hide your surroundings if you are joining the meeting from a place with sensitive information, or if you want to minimize the view of your surroundings in general.
Change your virtual background during a meeting
- Join a Zoom meeting.
- In the meeting controls toolbar, click the arrow icon next to Video .
- Click Video effect settings.
The Video effects side panel will open. - Below your video preview, click the Virtual backgrounds tab, or scroll down to the Virtual backgrounds section.
- (Optional) In the Virtual backgrounds section, choose from the following options to change or remove your virtual background
Note:
If you are currently in a meeting or webinar with your video on, your virtual background will change in the live session if you change it from these settings.- Click None to remove your virtual background.
- Click Blur to blur your background.
- Choose from the available default or recently uploaded images or videos.
- To upload your own virtual background, click the add icon "+" and choose if you want to upload an image or a video. Then continue with choosing a file on your device. If prompted, click Download to download the package for virtual background without a green screen.
- (Optional)
Click the I have a green screen toggle if you have a physical green screen set up. Ensure that you are using a solid background color when this option is enabled. You can then click on your video to select the correct color for the green screen.
