Authorization and Feature Management in RAP

The ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model offers the option of adding features to individual fields and operations. This implementation, which is programmed in ABAP and automatically executed by the framework in the backend, allows SAP Fiori apps and API interfaces to be provided with additional information. Consumers can respond to this and dynamically show or hide fields in SAP Fiori apps, set them to read-only, or make them mandatory. The authorization implementations connect the classic authorization system in SAP with this modern backend framework. The focus in this session is on learning and applying access controls and authorization objects in the RAP environment.
