Adding Logon Credentials to the Customer Remote Logon Depot in SAP for Me

Today, I'm going to show you how to add logon credentials to the customer remote logon depot for a support case. This application is used to securely store logon data such as username, password, server name, and more. And it allows SAP technical team to investigate your support case by remotely accessing your system. First, you will need to log on to me.sap.com. Make sure your S-user ID has the appropriate authorizations to proceed. Edit My Login Data. This allows you to store, display, or change login data inserted under your S-user ID. Edit All Login Data. You will have full access to create, change, and display stored login data for all S users. You may check your authorizations by going to your profile icon, selecting My Settings and then Authorizations and Functions. If you don't have the required authorizations, you may request them using the Self-Service Authorization Request. For further reference, check the KBA 2891528 with the title, How to use the Self-Service Authorization Request SAP for me. Now, let's move on to accessing the Customer Remote Logon Depot. You can access this application in two ways. If you are creating a new case from your home page, select Services and Support Dashboard. Then get Support Card. And decide either to report a new issue or use one of your drafts. For this demo, we will choose to report a new issue. After selecting the system affected, you will find the Click to Maintain button. By choosing it, a new pop-up window is displayed, and you are redirected to the Customer Remote Logon Depot. If you are selecting a SuccessFactor system, you will see an Open the System Data button, which will also lead you to the Customer Remote Logon Depot. The second option is to open the application through an existing case. You may access it by opening the case details. Navigate to Services and Support. Click on View Cases. Then select the relevant case. Click on Details tab. Under Connection Information, then under Logon Access, click Edit icon. Now that you know how to access the customer remote logon depot, let me show you how you may add the logon data to the application. In the Customer Remote Logon Depot page, navigate to Credentials tab. Upon selecting it, this page will be presented. Let's click Add to proceed. This new page pops up and it will ask you to provide the required information. Keep in mind, you will need to fill all required fields flagged with asterisk or star icon. Start selecting the service type from the drop-down list. Depending on the service type that is selected, other required attributes may be displayed. After this, you may inform the user and password to be used by the technical team. On the left side, on the bottom of the page, you will find a contact person field to inform an S-user ID. Remember to select an expiration date for this logon data to be available. SAP strongly recommends not to store logon credentials longer than necessary. So once the expiration date is reached, the logon data is automatically deleted. On your right side, check the visibility settings. Keep in mind the default visibility value is set as unrestricted cases, which allows the data to be used and viewed with no restriction to the support case. If you would like to restrict the visibility, you may choose the option that better fits your requirement. No cases. The logon data cannot be used for case processing and will not be visible to SAP's technical team. Only assigned cases. The login data is only usable for processing of assigned cases. Unassigned cases cannot use the login data. After choosing the appropriate incident processing for your logon data record, you may select the usable reasons the logon is being performed. Access reasons can be case processing, consulting, support service delivery, custom development, cloud operations, or others. This reasons will be recorded in the log, once the logon is performed. Lastly, you may select whether you would like to have the data visible only to SAP side, a SAP third-party site, such as Partners, or both. For more details, you may also check the KBA 1773689 with the title How to Add Logon Credentials S-user ID and Password to the Customer Remote Logon Depot for a Support Case. Thank you for watching this video. We hope you found it helpful.
