Building Mashups in SAP Sales and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

In this video, you will learn how to configure mashups and how to add them to the user interface. This demo uses both an HTML mashup and a URL mashup example to show the setup process. Both will show account details from SAP S/4 HANA Cloud for a customer in SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2. First, as an administrator, navigate to the User Menu, choose System Settings, then All Settings and select Extensibility. Choose Mashup Authoring from the menu. First, you will set up an HTML mashup. Choose the plus icon to add a mashup. Select HTML Mashup from the menu. Enter the name Account Details S4 HTML and enter the URL for the mashup. To pass a parameter, it needs to be added to the URL in curly brackets. To call the account details in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, you need to provide a parameter for the ID in the URL. To do this, add the parameter Customer ID in curly brackets to the URL. The curly brackets mark a parameter. Now choose that parameter and enter the parameter name Customer ID in curly brackets. This makes the parameter available for the configuration. The parameter will be used when adding the mashup to the UI. Therefore, you can leave the fields for Constant and System Parameter empty. Note that the parameter is marked as mandatory because it needs to be passed from the UI, and since it is a single value, the Multi Value flag is not activated. Now save the mashup. To add the URL mashup, select the plus icon again. Select URL Mashup from the menu. Enter the name and the URL. For this URL Mashup, the customer ID must also be passed as a parameter. Choose Add Parameter and enter the parameter name Customer ID in curly brackets to make the parameter available for the configuration. The fields for Constant and System Parameter can be left empty. Save the mashup. In the next steps, you will add the mashups to the user interface. First, navigate to the Accounts work center and open the detail view of an account. Start the adaptation mode in the user menu to edit the account page. Then add the HTML mashup. HTML mashups are displayed directly within the user interface. Therefore, you need to create a new tab. Select the edit function for the tabs and choose the plus icon. Enter the name Account Details S4 and choose Apply. Switch to the newly created tab Account Details S4 and choose the pencil icon in the context menu on the left of the section. In the Configure Section menu, select Add Mashup. Choose the newly created HTML mashup from the list. Select the field Other Details (expanded)/ Default External Customer ID, as the value for the parameter Customer ID. Choose Apply to finish the configuration of the HTML mashup in the UI. Now the mashup is displayed in the tab. To add the URL mashup, you can add a button to the overview panel of the Account screen. Hover your mouse over the buttons in the upper left of the overview panel and then choose the pencil icon. Select the plus icon to create a button. Now enter S/4 Account Details as Button Text and choose the mashup tab to define the details for the URL mashup. Choose Select Mashup and select the previously created URL mashup. For the parameter Customer ID, select the field Other Details (expanded)/ Default External Customer ID. Choose Apply to finalize the setup of the URL mashup. The new button is now displayed. When you choose the button, it opens the account overview in a new tab. Congratulations! You have learned how to configure HTML and URL mashups and how to add them to the user interface.
