Configuring a Webhook for CIAM B2B in SAP Customer Data Cloud

In this video, you will see how to configure webhooks in SAP Customer Identity and Access Management for B2B or CIAM for B2B. Let's start with the events supported by CIAM for B2B. All the events supported by CIAM for B2C are also available in CIAM for B2B. In addition to support B2B scenarios, additional event types are only in CIAM for B2B. Event types defined on groups can be used in both B2C and B2B scenarios. In addition to the steps required to configure a webhook for an account event type, organization webhooks need additional configuration in the Organization Management Console. Let's see the configuration in action. In this demo, we'll implement a webhook to automate part of a B2B approval workflow, that is, we'll enable remote system automated approval. First, let's open the Approval Workflow tab on the Organization Workspace Settings screen of a B2B -enabled CDC site or site group. Before adding an automated approval step in the approval path, let's set up a webhook for this purpose. To do that, we'll switch the browser tab to view the SAP Customer Data Cloud Console. There, we navigate to orchestrate webhooks. On the webhooks screen, click on Create Webhook in the top right corner. On the Create Webhook screen, enter a name like orgaperv webhook and provide a notification URL for the remote system endpoint, such as api .abc.com slash orgapproval. Select organization events from the event type drop-down and check the organization events that should be listened to, such as new organization request and organization entered approval workflow. Make sure to check the enable remote approval flow box to add the above endpoint to an approval flow in the organization management console. Fill in the other details and click create to save the webhook. Now that we've set up the webhook, we can link it to the approval step on the workflow configuration screen. Switch to that tab and click new approval step on the created approval path to create the first approval step. Enter a name, such as autoapprov, and select the webhook we just created under select remote systems. Click save to add the automated approval step. Once the webhook is linked to an approval step, a specific webhook token is generated. Click view tokens on the new approval step to see the generated token. We'll need that token to make approval API calls, so click on copy token to copy it to the clipboard. To progress through the approval workflow, our remote system should call the accounts.b2b .setOrganizationWorkflowStatusRest endpoint, use the copied webhook token, and specify the status parameter as either approved or declined. The approval workflow now has a step that calls the webhook, which in turn notifies an external service. This concludes the steps for setting up a webhook in CIAM for B2B. Thank you for watching. Thank you.
