Configuring a Webhook Node in Automation Program in SAP Emarsys

You can configure Webhook nodes with presets to establish communication between SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement and SAP Sales Cloud. By using Webhook nodes, you can send data to your SAP Sales System when a contact arrives at the Webhook node within an Automation program. You can configure Webhook nodes with presets to create tasks or leads. For the purpose of this video, we'll be configuring a Webhook node within the Replicate New Marketing Contact Tactic. The Webhook node is an advanced feature that an administrator must configure for your application. For more information, see Creating Webhook Node Presets for Automation Programs in the SAP Emarsys Account Engagement Application Help. The topic contains a video with instructions to create a preset that is a prerequisite for completing the procedure provided in this video. Let's begin by opening the Replicate New Marketing Contact tactic. Go to Automation, Tactics. Choose Replicate New Marketing Contact. Choose Review Tactic, then Create Tactic. Once prompted, choose Go to Automation Program. Double-click the Webhook node and choose an activity or lead creation preset from the Configuration drop-down list. Choose the preset you created while following the instructions contained in the Creating a Webhook Node preset video. After selecting the preset, the following associated preset data is displayed. The contact data key value pairs you defined when the preset was created. If you've changed the default contact matching method from email address to Emarsys Contact ID, then you must also add a key value pair for the associated SAP Sales Cloud custom field and a value containing the ID. For more information, see the Specifying a Contact Matching Method topic in the SAP Emarsys Account Engagement Onboarding Guide. Next, define the values of the additional data keys. The following additional data key values were defined when our preset was created. Let's choose 3, Normal, as the priority code, and 003, Campaign, as the origin type code. Enter a meaningful value in the Name key. The Name makes the handling recommendation for sales clear. For example, check and create a new marketing contact. This name conveys that The contact coming from SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement must be created in SAP Sales Cloud as a new contact and corporate account or match to an existing account. Choose done. Next, test and then activate the program. This tactic now replicates New Marketing Contacts as leads to SAP Sales Cloud, where they can be converted into SAP Sales Cloud contacts. Sales are now also able to assign account information that enriches the contact in SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement. For more information, see Replicate New Marketing Contact in the SAP Account Engagement Application Help.
