Configuring Address Validation Add-on for SAP Sales and Service Cloud

I'd like to demonstrate the address validation and type ahead search capabilities in SAP Sales and Service Cloud. Let me first show you the main capabilities. You can create an individual customer as an example. Let's create a new customer. The country is required. In this case, it is already set to United States. Now, to enter a new address, you can use the search address field. This field enables the type ahead search, which helps you find the address you're looking for by typing in a partial address data. For example, I enter select the address. When you select the address, the form is auto-completed with a clean and accurate address data. We have the address data populated in the individual fields, and you can see the address data are standardized, such as with the consistent abbreviation W for West. The postal code is populated with the full 9-digit postcode, and the latitude and longitude data for this address is also populated. When you are satisfied with the data entry, you can save and finish the entry. I will stay in this screen for a little while. Next, we will look at validating the address entered in the individual fields. In this case, we already have the address from the previous entry. To demonstrate this, I will enter an invalid house number this time. Now I click on Validate Address. If the address is not valid, you will see the message indicating the reason why it is not valid. You can either accept the address or cancel it to correct the address. In this case, I want to cancel it and correct the address. This time I enter a valid house number. Click the Validate Address. Now, the address is valid with no error message, so I accept it. Let me give you another example with a fresh start. This time I enter a different address. Now I find my address I'm looking for. This is a high-rise building, with many business offices located within the building. When the address has secondary data such as suit numbers shown here, the address suggestion list is displayed. In this case, I will select the number range I am looking for and enter a unit number and press OK. Now the individual fields are populated with the validated address. Now let's look at what makes these capabilities possible. Address validation in Tiber Head Search is available as an add-on for SAP Sales and Service Cloud. It enables the API calls to SAP Data Quality Management microservices for location data. This service is also known as Data Quality Services. It is one of the services available on SAP Business Technology Platform. To enable the service, create a service instance in your SAP account. I have already created a service instance, so I will skip this process. After you create the service instance, you can create a service key to be used for authentication. Once the service key is created, you can view your credentials. You will need these credentials to configure the REST service in SAP Sales and Service Cloud. In SAP Sales and Service Cloud, the administrator can enable the address validation and type ahead search functionalities in business configuration implementation projects. You will find the options and the questions in the project scope. Please follow the product documentation for these instructions. To configure the REST service in SAP Sales and Service Clouds, use the pre-delivered templates in Administrator, MeshUp, Web Services. You can copy the templates to create your services. Our AuthType Authorization method is supported to connect to data quality services. You can also follow the product documentation for these instructions. Once the functionalities are enabled, the users can start entering complete and accurate address data as quickly as I've demonstrated earlier.
