Creating a Price Update Amendment in SAP Ariba Contract Workspaces

Price Update amendments enable users to modify existing items in a contract line items document without triggering a new round of a review or approval task for the workspace. Adding and deleting line items through a price update amendment is not allowed and you will have to perform an Amendment type amendment to do so. The Price Update amendment is available only in contract workspaces that have a Contract Line Items Document. If the workspace has a task that is restarted each time a new draft of the workspace is created, and you do not want to restart the task, you can create a Price Update amendment for the workspace. This video will show you how to change existing items in the Line Items Document and then complete the amendment. From the Contract Workspace Overview, we choose the Actions button in the Contract Attributes area. Then from the dropdown menu, we select Price Update and provide a reason. Please note this option won't be visible in the dropdown list if the Contract Workspace does not have a Line Items Document. Notice the Contract Workspace remains in the status Published and the version is editing. On the Documents tab we find the CLID and open it. As mentioned previously, we can only modify the existing items through this type of amendment. We change the quantity for ground coffee beans to 55 kg and price for green tea to $15 and then publish the document. Changes can be reviewed before the document is published. To finalize the amendment, we return to the Overview tab and choose Complete Amendment from the drop-down in the Actions button of the Contract Attributes area. Notice the contract status is Published and the version has been updated. Continue learning to find out more about contract workspace amendments. Thank you for watching.
