Creating a Request Automatically from a Travel Itinerary in SAP Concur

Automatically Creating a Request from a Travel Itinerary Using SAP Concur, you can automatically create a request from a completed travel itinerary. In the following example, you will see how to complete a travel reservation from Seattle to San Francisco for client training and then create a request from that reservation. To begin, on the Travel Details screen, scroll down to review the estimated costs. After reviewing the estimated cost of your trip, select Next. On the Trip Booking Information screen, the Trip Name defaults to the departure and arrival locations. The Trip Description and email confirmation fields are optional. For this example, enter a Trip Description. Note: The description you enter will pre-populate the Purpose field on the request header screen. To continue, select Next. On the Trip Confirmation screen, the ticketing deadline is displayed. Note that the reservations will be canceled if not approved within the deadline. Scroll down. Select Confirm Booking. On the Pre-populating Your Expense Report screen, additional transportation items display to help you submit a complete expense report. For this example, you have an additional taxi expense. Select the drop-down arrow... and then select Taxi. After you select all the charges that you want to pre-populate on your expense report, select Finish. A new request is automatically created and the Expected Expenses are pre-populated based on your travel itinerary. You can cancel the Request, by selecting the checkbox next to the expense and then selecting Cancel Request in the More Actions dropdown menu. If the expenses are not approved within the required approval date, your trip will be canceled. Note: You cannot delete a self-booked request. Additionally, all Air or Rail reservations will not display an approval time, unless you add an integrated request to an existing reservation. The request approver will then see an approval time for your non-Air and non-Rail bookings. You can Add additional expenses, or Allocate expenses as needed. For this example, select Submit Request. On the Request Submit Confirmation window, select Accept & Continue. The request has been submitted from your completed travel itinerary and displays on your Manage Requests screen.
