Creating Block Based Validation and Determination in SAP Service Cloud Version 2

In this video, you will learn how to create validations using block-based editor.  Log on as an administrator. Navigate to your user profile and access the extensibility administration page.  Search for an entity, let's say case.  From here, you can access the editor.  Let's take the example of a use case where password-related queries must not be addressed via this ticketing platform. We start by adding a name and a description.  Next, we add the condition. Drag and drop the if block and then drag and drop the Condition block. Let's add the condition.  If the subject contains 'password',  then the system must display an error message.  All the available fields in the entity are displayed here. In the Action block, we can create an error message using this block.  If you want to create a warning message, you use the other block. Let us drag and drop the error message block and add the required message. Let us drag and drop the error message block and add the required message. You can also create complex conditions using the AND and OR conditions.  To delete an unused block, click it and press delete. When you're done, save your changes.  Next, you will learn how to create determinations using block-based editor.  Log on as an administrator. Navigate to your user profile and access the extensibility administration page.  Search for an entity, let's say 'Case'.  From here, you can access the editor. Let's take the example of a use case where if the subject contains 'Outage', then the priority should be set as 'Immediate'. In the Condition Block, you can see various conditions that you need for your determination.  In the Action Block, you can set the value of a field and in the Function Block, you have various functions such as concatenate, current date time and so on.  So, to implement the current example, let's go back to the Condition Block. We start by adding a name and a description and then selecting pre-hook drag and drop the 'If' block.  And then drag and drop the Condition Block. Let's say that the subject contains value, 'Outage'.  Then set the priority as 'Very High'.  You can assign multiple field values. For example, if you want to set the escalation status as 'Escalated', you can do that as well. When done, save your changes.
