Creating Configurable Products - SAP CPQ

Hello, my name is Russia. In this video, I'll discuss configurable products in SAP CPQ. I'll also demonstrate how configurable products work from the user and how to create configurable products as an administrator, and how to add attributes to the product created. Let's get started. Configurable products are customizable products that have attributes associated with them. Users select values for these associated attributes to configure the product. For example, a laptop might have attributes for the processor, memory, hard-drive, optical drive, and warranty. As the attributes are selected. There'll be displayed along with the prizes. In an era of sep, CPQ, call the responder. From the responder, users can view all the attribute selected for that product. Configurable products aren't important. They are typically created manually based on the client's needs. They can also be created by redefining the simple product as a configurable product. Now, I'll show you how to create a configurable product. I'll enter the setup workspace of SAP CPQ, and click product in the product catalog. I'll click add new product. The configuration options are logically divided into the six tabs at the top of the beach. I briefly touch upon these tabs. In the definition tab, I can enter the basic details for the products such as its name, but number, if any, the category and product type it belongs to, whether it's active or not, and other such details. First, Amazon enter the required information. I like the name, select the display type as configurable product, and define the product, type and category. Notice that the save button is enabled only after I fill the required fields. Next, I'll define the pricing for the product underpricing them. The two main pricing options available are custom price or price book look up. For this demonstration, I'll select custom price and enter the base price. Now, I move on to the Attributes tab. Attributes can be considered white elements when defining a configurable product. When I click Add Attribute, a list of available attributes is displayed. I can select attributes from the existing list and add them to the product. It's important to add attributes and define their values. And the attributes administration workspace first. So they will be available to add to a product. Now, let's look at editing these attributes. On the product level. I had several options to select from the display type and select drop-down for this attribute. As I scroll down to the attribute values section, I noticed that there are no prizes listed for these values. This is because attributes can't have prices associated with them independent of a product. I can add prizes to attributes. Only when I add them to a product. I like prizes for these attribute values and c. Similarly, I select an appropriate display type and that prizes for the other attributes and save them. The rules and Messages tab allows me to create limitations for product configuration. In other words, it helps me put some condition in place. For example, if a user selects a certain processor 11 and D condition is applied. While other processes might have a different warranty. The Scripts tab allows you to add global scripts to the product or create new products scripts which can be attached to a product specific event. On the layout tab, I can determine the order in which I won the attributes to appear in the configurator and just ponder. The configuration preview helps me to view how my product appears in the catalog. Do a user, I can see the attributes added with their prizes and the display type that I had selected earlier. Notice, as I select attributes, the prices reflect and the responder attributes prizes are added to the product base price. I can configure the attributes and add them to a quote. As you've seen in asap CPQ, I can create a configurable product defined prizing, add in further define attributes, add rules and scripts, and customize the product layout. I can also preview the product configuration from setup to see how it will appear to end users and the configurator and responded.
