Creating Event Content within Guided Sourcing Events in SAP Ariba

This video will examine creating event content, including sections, requirements, and questions. We will demonstrate creating these items within a guided sourcing request for proposal and show some of the answer types that are available within the system, and end with an example of adding a visibility condition within the content. First, we will start with sections. Sections are used to organize information within the event. In addition to any inherited sections from the template, project owners can create their own. To add new sections, select Add, Section, then add the name and edit the description or the position of the section if needed. Next we have requirements. Requirements allow project owners to include any required terms, conditions, or statements to the event that their suppliers will read but will not require a response. This could be information about your company, information about who to reach out to for questions, information about how to submit responses, or anything helpful that suppliers might need to know within the event. Next are questions. Questions are used to solicit information from your suppliers and require a response type, a text, a monetary value, a numeric and decimal value, a percentage, a date, yes no, and address type are visible. Some have additional menus before creating the item, like specifying a range, choice type, or length. Outside of the response type, some fields are key when enforcing supplier responses or visibility settings. Is a response required is key to make the supplier participant submit a response for the question or set initial values. The acceptable values can specify ranges for numerical values or create multiple choice options in text response types. When lists of choices are created via text, the project owner must manually create the options that the participant can choose from. Visible to participant is also a key field. Supplier participants will see this item if yes. Some items can be internal or project owner facing instead of supplier facing. Lastly, visibility conditions can be helpful to make questions or sections visible or invisible depending on the answer to a separate event question. If a yes no question is required to make new sub questions appear a new condition could be created and reference the event questions. The expression of a condition references the content that we built which requires a response so I will see my questions. In this example our yes no question appears and I will select the yes and provide the condition with the name of TOU equals yes. This expression is set to trigger if the response for do you agree to the terms of use is set to yes. I can then apply the TOU equals yes to a section or other areas of my event if this condition hides or makes it visible.
