Delegating Event Rules within SAP Ariba Guided Sourcing Templates

This video will help template administrators within SAP Ariba Sourcing understand how to delegate event template rules. When a template owner of a sourcing event template is creating a new version to make changes, they can edit the rules and their configurations. Event rules govern how events function, and the rules in a project depend on the event type and the template that has been selected. When creating a template, template creators have the option to withhold control of a rule from the person who is using the template to create an event, also known as the project owner. Below the rule is a drop-down menu with the options of Delegated, Read Only, and Hidden. Delegated means that the ability to edit this rule is left up to the project owner to decide. Project owners can view this rule and modify the setting. Most rules, except the Supplier Eligibility Criteria rules, can be delegated to project owners. Read Only means that project owners can see this rule and its settings, but cannot edit it. Hidden would not allow project owners to see this rule or how it's set. Note that many rules set as delegated or read-only are also exposed to event participants.
