Demonstrating SAP ECPM in SAP Customer Data Cloud

In this video, you will see a quick demo of the functionalities for SAP’s Enterprise Consent and Preference Management Solution, referred to as ECPM.  Let’s get right to it with our demo site CDC Travel.  SAP Customer Data Cloud gathers a basic set of data from each social provider.  Say a customer of your website is at a point of login through a social media account.  In this demo, the social login is configured in a way that once you log in, you get the consent tab with all the options to customize your consent.  As you can see, while you as a digital business can request to retrieve these fields, your customer can also approve the data that they allow you to retrieve.  The consent interaction between the customer and your site is captured and recorded. This interaction includes several fixed components, such as the type of consent statement, the version number, and whether the statement is mandatory or not.  Based on your needs, you can also easily customize the consent record with several options such as custom data, tags or entitlements.  As an administrator, you can review all actions around customers’ consent including consent statements such as granting or revoking consent in the Consent Vault. When you click on a log item to expand it, you can display extended information.  Now let’s move to SAP ECPM’s consent management tool, which gives you the option to update the version of the consent statement.  Basically, you can update both the ‘effective as of’ field and the ‘re-consent cut-off' field.  This means that customers who consented to a version that is earlier than the number or date specified under re-consent cut-off, will be required to re-consent.  SAP ECPM also enables you to create a preference center by implementing SAP Customer Data Cloud’s profile screens. You should clearly display to customers the data stored in their account and enable a way to manage their communication and privacy preferences.  This concludes our quick demo of the SAP Enterprise Consent and Preference Management Solution.
