Embedding the Extension App in SAP Sales/Service Cloud Version 2

This video demonstrates how to prepare, embed, and test an extension app mashup within the user interface. To begin, open the user menu and choose Settings. Activate the All Settings tab, and search for the Mashup authoring setting. Select the automatically created mashup that contains the buildapps ID, and choose Edit. Alternatively, if you did not have the mashup created automatically, you can create it with the plus button and manually enter the URL. In both cases, add the account ID parameter manually. Choose add parameter and enter the parameter name, account ID. Make sure you type it exactly as in SAP Build Apps. Toggle the mandatory option to make the parameter required for the mashup, then save changes. The mashup is now ready. The next step is to embed it into the desired screen for display. Navigate to the Accounts Business Service. Open one of the accounts in the Details view. Open the User menu and choose Start Adaptation. Activate the Edit mode for the tab bar and add a new tab. In this example, I'll label it Onboarding Meetings. Choose Apply and activate the newly created tab. From the plus icon, select Create Section and enter a title. Then, navigate to the Add Mashup section and search for the Appointment App Mashup. Here, you can adjust the Mashup's properties and most importantly, bind the Account ID parameter to a field of the Account object. Search the list for Other Details Technical ID. If the list doesn't contain this field, use the Add More Fields option to add it to the list. Apply the changes and wait for the screen to refresh. The app is loading the account details, including the contact persons. Now the app is embedded. Choose End Session to leave the adaptation mode. Next, I will demonstrate how to test the embedded app. Open an account. Find the Onboarding Meetings tab and activate it. These are the loaded account details. Next, I'll test the features of the extension app. Select a contact person. Choose a date. And enter a time. Test the translation feature. Since this is a German customer, translate the invite text to German. The translation works. Finally, test the schedule meeting function. This looks good. Open the timeline to check if the appointment appears in the customer's details. There it is. Company onboarding. Open it to view more details. Don't get confused when looking at the appointment's timestamps. The app treats the enter time as UTC, while the Cloud Solutions user settings display it as CET. This is an example of a future improvement of the extension app. This concludes the minor end-to -end test of the extension app. Thank you.
