Explaining Pipeline Management in SAP Sales Cloud Version 2

Let's take a closer look at the pipeline management. The pipeline management gives us transparency about our pipeline. We can just go here from the dashboard to the pipeline manager, where we then show all of our opportunities rated by the current probability on the vertical here and on the time by the horizontal axis. We see the large size of the bubbles is actually the value of the opportunities. So the large ones are the high value opportunities and the ones more to the right are the ones later in the quarter and the ones that are more green are the ones with a higher probability. So below all of these, we see the opportunities listed and we see them filtered exactly by the views that we see here. The great thing is we can just edit this list of opportunities of the current quarter by just going into there and just going through them. So it's really easy to adjust my current opportunities based on my current feeling or what I discussed lately with the customers. And it's really just editing a list. No need of an Excel because this is as easy as Excel. I can also change the forecast category easily which will change immediately my forecast in the different categories from committed to most likely to best case. In the end I can also always switch back to the last quarter and we see here the last quarter was much better than the current quarter. I had much many more opportunities here. Now let's go back to the current quarter and then take a look at the forecast tracker. The forecast tracker is another tool that is embedded in our pipeline management and allows us to really get a very good overview of the forecast and how the current pipeline is developing. I see all the different scenarios from committed to most likely the best case and I can just also remove the opportunities from the forecast because maybe I don't want to submit them. I'm really unsure about them but I don't want to removes them from my list of opportunities. So no opportunity hiding needed here because it's really easy to maintain my forecast to also update directly in the forecast my opportunities. And now I can just go here with one click on the submit button to submit actually my current forecast and I could enter my own value and committed most likely in best case or just one click here on the live roll up and I get all the values overtaken. And if I still want to change something because I don't want to take 100% the system. I can just change it here and maybe leave a comment that I reduced the best case scenario because I think that fits better my gut feeling. And this is a very easy and nice and flexible way to maintain your forecast, to submit it to your boss and really everybody's happy. No opportunity hiding needed. You really have a lot of transparency and it's as easy to work with as in Excel, just that it's in a system which allows us completely different ways of reporting and standardization. So now let's look at another tool here in the set. It's a pipeline flow. The pipeline flow lets us understand exactly how the pipeline flew from one quarter to another. So how many of the committed opportunities actually ended up in lost, won, unchanged, or regressed opportunities here. And the same also for the new ones. which came new in and how are those distributed. Also in the lower part we always see exactly the opportunities that match into this bucket, for example in this case into the new ones. The pipeline management in SAP Sales Cloud gives us really great tools to manage both the pipeline but also the forecasting. With such a great tool to manage your pipeline and your forecast, you really never want to manage it in a spreadsheet again, but rather in a system like that. Easy to use, super fast and always transparent.
