Exploring Outlook and Teams Integration in SAP Sales Cloud V2

Let's take a quick look at the Microsoft Outlook and Teams integration with SAP Sales Cloud. Here we received a new email from Jens Limburg. He is requesting to have a bit more explanation about our products. Now just one click away is all the data from the CRM here. So, we see his contact information and just with another click, we can open LinkedIn and see all the information about him in LinkedIn.  So going back to Outlook, we can now also create something based on Jens. I mean, we could create now new data that is linked to Jens, like a contact, an account, a case, an appointment, or other objects that can be configured in the solution. We can also show the related items. In this case, we only have an account linked here to Jens. We have direct access in Outlook here to all the account details. And if you want, we can just open it directly in the SAP Sales Cloud and see all the other details here.  We enter directly in our Customer Insights view, where we see the 360 degree view of our account here with all the data, sales, service and also ERP data. We can also see the timeline of this account. So I can really inform myself which this contact is and to which account he actually belongs and what's going on with this account. Let's now imagine we want to create an appointment because a customer asked for that. We can directly do it again here from the Sales Cloud solution, and select the Teams meeting, and this will automatically invite our customer and set up a Teams meeting. All the appointments created in Outlook, in Teams, or in the Sales Cloud solutions are synchronized and are replicated across the different solutions. So immediately after creating this appointment, when I switch back into my Outlook, I will see that I have an appointment planned here, the appointment for CBont Industries here that is popping up in my Outlook. And also synced directly here and shown in my Outlook calendar. So immediately after doing something in CRM, I have it always in sync with my Outlook solution. And this gives me the freedom to work wherever I would like to work in Outlook or the CRM. We also see here the appointment is created just an event came in live. So that's very powerful but let's take a look at something more because Microsoft Teams integration goes beyond that. Let's imagine we have a new opportunity for this customer. So we discussed on the Teams Meeting with this customer our product proposal and he's very interested. So we're gonna be creating a new opportunity now. Let's say he's not interested in a standard product, but rather in a new product that maybe we need to create for him in order to match his requirements. So such a case might require a kind of project, some more collaboration outside of the sales application. So after creating now this opportunity, we might want to invite people that are not part of the sales teams. So we want to collaborate with engineering, with maybe marketing, with maybe other departments and for that we can now create a Teams room that we would call a deal room. And we get an assistant here that helps us to share this opportunity on Microsoft Teams. And then we can invite anybody in the organization to upload documents, to discuss on certain topics, to work towards really having a final product. And then being able to sell this to the customer. So all the collaboration can happen in our deal room while the sales process is kept here in our opportunity. And the great thing is, even if I'm in the deal room that we created now here, I have direct access to all the opportunity details, as you can see. I get a notification that a new deal room was created, and I'm now invited here and now I can do here the things that I can usually do. I can post, I can chat, I can talk to my colleagues, I can upload files and structure a kind of deal room where maybe I have RFP documents, maybe our final presentation and that's exactly what we do at SAP. I mean we have an opportunity, we have a deal room and there we work together on a customer deal.  And it's really great because I directly have access to the opportunity. I can just change the values easily. I can move it to the next phase. It's really just wherever I would like to be. Either I go to Sales Cloud solution or in my Teams, but it's really vice versa working very well. And that's really cool because this way, I can keep the sales process here in the Sales Cloud solution, and follow up with a quotation, with pricing coming from ERP. So, I have a really streamlined, integrated Sales solution, but the collaboration is working perfectly together with it. And that's what we really call the best of two worlds. I hope you enjoyed the short journey into our Microsoft Outlook and Teams integration with SAP Sales Cloud.
