Exploring the "Migration Objects" App with SAP Cloud ERP – PET 2026

Hello and welcome to the Product Expert Training 2026. I would like to introduce you to the new Analyze Migration Objects app, which allows you to check whether predecessor objects exist for migration objects, so that you can begin the migration process for them. Please take note of this disclaimer. Please take into consideration that this information is proprietary to SAP. My name is Mirella and I am product expert and process owner at Cloud ERP Product Success Enablement and Adoption. Please note that this app currently supports only those migration objects that are available for the migration approach. Migrate data using staging tables. The new Analyze Migration Objects app offers the following features. Visualize the relationships between migration objects. Distinguish between mandatory and optional upstream migration objects in the dependency diagram Expand dependent migration object nodes to view their respective dependencies Navigate directly to the documentation of a migration object that matches the current system version Let's take a closer look at this in the system In the SAP Fiori launchpad, open the data migration section You will now see the new app, Explore Migration Objects. The app is divided into a selection area and a results area. In the selection area, you have three different input fields available. In the search field, you can enter any search term. In the migration object field, you can select one or more migration objects. There's also a scope component field where you can select one or more scope components. In the results area, the outcomes of your selection are displayed. The results area is divided into two sections, which are organized by tab bars to display migration objects and scope components in table format. As soon as you enter a search for a migration object or scope component in the results area, the system shows all migration objects and scope components that contain that term. Let's look at this using the example of the migration object, claim, which we select in the migration object search field. After selecting the migration object, you'll see in the results area that only the searched migration object is displayed in the column. In our example, the migration object is claim. In the scope objects column, only the four migration components linked to this migration object are shown. Now let's move on to the most important aspect of this new app, the graphical display of migration object dependencies. If we click on the small detail arrow, we get to the migration object view, and here we see. All predecessor objects of the migration object. Displayed in a network diagram, these are assigned to the migration object Warranty Claim. The dashed line shows you optional dependencies, while the orange line indicates mandatory dependencies for this migration object. In the search bar, you'll find various fields and functions. For example, you can search for objects within the network diagram or use the transpose button to change the display direction.  In the display, the migration objects are grouped into components. If needed, you can collapse these groups or expand them again. With a note link, you can go directly to the migration object documentation in the SAP Help portal. You also have the option to display the predecessor objects of each predecessor migration object.  This is now a new example, we need to do this quickly. Better. You have now seen how you can display the predecessor objects of a migration object. Now let's take a look at how you can display all migration objects assigned to a scope item. For this, we will leave the migration object screen. We are now back on the entry screen. Now, if we enter the scope item 060 in the entry area as a search, you'll see that in the Scope Items section, only the Scope Item 060 account payable is displayed. In the Migration Objects section, you can see that 12 migration objects are assigned to this scope item. Let's take a closer look at that. With a click on the small arrow, the detail arrow, we get to the scope wide screen. Here you can now see all migration objects assigned to this scope item. The functionalities, the search bar, grouping migration objects into components and so on, are also available here. We hope that in this short demo, we were able to introduce you to an exciting feature that can help you carry out your migration project. Watch the replays of our SAP Cloud ERP 2602. Missed the live sessions? We've got you covered! Take advantage of the entire series or pick and choose the sessions most relevant to you.
