Generating License Keys in SAP for Me

Today I'm going to show you a quick tour of how to request a license key in SAP for Me. To get started, sign in to SAP for Me via me.sap.com and log in with your Universal ID or S -user ID and password. Before we get started, please be informed that to request license keys, you need Request License Keys Authorization in your S-user ID. You can check your S-user ID authorization by going to your profile, selecting My Settings, click on Authorizations and Functions, and then click on Authorization tab. If you don't have the necessary authorization, you can contact your Super Administrator. You can find the contact information of your Super Administrator by going to Users and Contacts, then click on My Important Contact. Also, you can use the Self-Service Authorization Request by following the steps provided in the KBA 2891528. On the left side, you will see Customer Dashboard. From the list, please select Systems and Provisioning. Under Systems and Provisioning, click the Keys tab and then select the License Key card to open the License Key application. Or simply go to the link https://me.sap.com/licensekey/wizard  From the Installations tab, find the installation number by using filters such as customer number, product installation number, or enter the specific installation number directly in the empty field. You can also use the deployed product option. You may check the KBA 3001375. For tips in choosing the right installation, you may check the KBA 3057104. After choosing the correct installation, the Systems tab opens. On the right-hand side of your screen, you can click on the Licenses link to display the contract or your license key information. On the left side of your screen, you can click on how to request keys which will redirect you to the license key help page. To create a new system, click the plus sign to add a new system for a new license key request. Select the product and version or enter the requested product in the field. The rest of the Add New System screen will expand. Enter a system ID, it must be exactly three alphanumeric characters, starting with the letter A to Z. For more information, you may check the KBA 2952755. Next, fill in the remaining system data information and click Continue. The new system is created and the details tab is presented. Click the plus sign again to add the license key request. Then, select the license material, you may check the KBA 2947504. Select the version, number of licenses, valid until date, and click Add. Once the license key is added, you can click on the Generate button to create the license key. You can copy the key code shown in the license key field or use the email link to send a key via email. For instructions on creating Sybase license keys, use the following KBA 2598134. To request license keys for SAP Business Object Solutions, you may refer to the KBA 150271. Also, you can check the License Key Help page, which answers the most frequently asked questions on license keys and guides for each SAP product. Lastly, for issues or questions in generating or requesting license keys, please create a case for component XX-SER-LIKEY and include screenshots of the steps you are taking and any error messages you receive. Be sure to include the installation number as well as the relevant issue description. Thank you for watching this tutorial video. We hope you found it helpful.
