Host Networking in Dynatrace for SAP Commerce Cloud

Hello! Let’s take a look, into the Host Networking in Dynatrace.  With Host Networking communication monitoring,  Dynatrace gives you insights into the quality of the, communications between your hosts and the processes.  It’s not enough to know that a process has sufficient, server resources and responds in a timely manner.  You also need to make sure that your processes are, clearly communicating their responses to calling parties, and have uninterrupted access to all required resources.  You also need to know which processes are consuming your network resources.  Such network communication insight can be gained by, monitoring the data packets that are exchanged, between processes and the hosts.  Select Host Networking under Infrastructure, to see the network overview page.  The Environment details section of the, Network overview page consists of three tabs:  Hosts,  Interfaces, and Processes.  Expand a host listed on the Hosts tab to view, a quick chart for Traffic in and Traffic out for that host.  Use the Show chart for tabs to switch, to Retransmissions and Connectivity charts for that host.  Click on Analyze process connections to get more, information about process connections and related metrics,  or click on Host details to get more information, about host connections and related metrics.  After selecting Analyze process connections,  on the Process connections page,  you can view all connections made and received by the host.  Connections are displayed in a way similar to the Smartscape topology view.  The middle column represents the analyzed host or process.  The left-hand side represents the hosts, and processes that connect to the analyzed host or process.  The right-hand side shows the outbound, communications of the analyzed host or process.  Select any process node in the middle column, to view the relevant network metrics for that processes, connections displayed in the right-hand pane.  That’s it for Networks! Thanks for watching!
