How to Use Radio Frequency Devices during Outbound Processing - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Supply Chain

Hi everybody and welcome to microlearnings. With this microlearning, we will cover the outbound process using RF framework to show how it can be processed via scanner device. My name is Ahmet Durmaz. I am an SAP S/4HANA Cloud business processes consultant with focus on warehouse management. As you can see, our main focus in this microlearning is the outbound process. First, we will shortly discuss the outbound process steps, and then we will see the outbound process within a system demo. There are many companies that work with sales order. And based on the sales order, they work with outbound deliveries. And this is how our outbound process is also designed. In the first step, a sales order is generated. And based on the sales order, an outbound delivery is created within WM managed storage location. This ensures that the outbound delivery is distributed directly into the EWM system. And in our system demo, we will also start from the third point. We will need to work with warehouse management apps in order to pick the right product. The corresponding warehouse task will be automatically created and the product needs to be moved to the goods issue area. The created warehouse order will be assigned to our resource using queues and queue determination. Our resource in the warehouse can process the warehouse order using the scanner device via the RF framework. And this brings us to the last point, the goods issue posting. Let's have a look at this process in the system. In order to not to exceed the scope, we start from the third point in our process flow. This means we have created a sales order and generated an outbound delivery based on the sales order. And the outbound delivery is distributed to the EWM system. Now, we go to the run outbound process app and search for our outbound delivery. And there is is, our outbound delivery with the number of 600 is already showing up. We need to open the outbound delivery with just clicking on it. The first step is to pick the required product. For this step, we create a warehouse order. And if the stock removal control indicator is maintained in the product master data, a warehouse order will be created automatically. The warehouse task has been created. And now we go to the warehouse monitor and have a look at the created warehouse order. I will expand the note documents and double-click on warehouse order and only search for open warehouse orders. This is our warehouse order number. And at the bottom we can see the corresponding warehouse task. It is a stock removal activity for the product TG20 And 4 pieces are required since the stock removal control indicator is maintained. So the storage type SG01 has been taken. And also let's have a look on the last column. And then we can see the warehouse order has been assigned to our resource. Now we switch to the app test RF environment app. For the resource, an automatic login is activated in the settings. And so we can directly go to the outbound process. Now we can search either for the handling unit number or for the warehouse order number. But in our example, we will just go with the first one. This means that the system can decide via queue and queue determination settings, which warehouse order needs to be processed next for our resource. As we can see the warehouse order number is already assigned. We can create a pick handling unit number. Or we can just click on Next and directly go to the picking part. Now we can see what product is required, where the product is located, and how many pieces we need to pick. In the warehouse, our resource would now scan barcodes, scan the product, and enter quantity, and press Enter. So we are also asked to enter the corresponding serial numbers. That means that our resource can basically scan or enter the serial numbers. We need to go back to our warehouse monitor and expand the notes stock and bin and double-click on physical stock. We can search for our product TG20. This means I need to enter the material name in the product field TG20_0C and just click on Execute. And there we can see which serial numbers are actually existing. As I mentioned, we need to enter the serial numbers. And now click on Save. Now we jump to the next step. We are asked to scan the destination bin, the product and enter the quantity and press Enter again. Now the system will go back to the initial point for entering a warehouse order number. This means that the warehouse order has been confirmed. Now we go back to the warehouse monitor and see if the warehouse order still exists. Double-click on warehouse order and search for the open warehouse orders. There we can see there are no other open warehouse orders anymore. So we can go back to our outbound delivery. Then we can see that there are no other open tasks. The material has been picked. Now we can post the goods issue. Thank you for watching this microlearning. For further learnings, check the openSAP website. Thank you and goodbye.
