Introducing Consumption Credits and Estimator Overview in SAP Commerce Cloud

Welcome to the Guided video  for SAP Commerce Cloud Consumption Credits  and Estimator Overview.   In this video, we'll learn more about what consumption credits are  and how to use the estimator to calculate  the required capacity units for purchase.      Consumption credits serve as SAP Commerce Cloud's virtual wallet,  allowing you to purchase capacity units  that you can then invest in  a diverse range of services.   This usage based model affords you greater power and flexibility to grow your business. You can select credit packages  that accurately reflect your actual usage  but can be adjusted for higher or lower capacity events. As your requirements change, you can then adjust how many resources  are available with a credit system  and then use the resources you purchased.   This system eliminates the number of required support tickets,  which enables you to take quicker action  and reduces your time to market.  To calculate the capacity units  needed to scale the non live environments,  use the capacity unit estimator.   The estimator allows you to select your configuration,  then estimate how many CUs you need to run that configuration.  For example, let's say you have a small sandbox  for which your monthly entitlement is 3,566 CUs.  If you select an upscale configuration  and the tool calculates the capacity  to be 5000 CUs,  you'll need to purchase an additional  1,434 CUs per month to run that configuration   Estimator Overview This is a quick overview of how the Estimator works For more detailed instructions see the Consumption Credits section of the Cloud Portal User Guide  You can use this URL or you can click the link in the Consumption Credits topic  in the Help portal.   Select the estimation range Using the display range dropdown menu and select either Hourly, Daily, Monthly, or Yearly The Estimator enables you to calculate your capacity units for two SAP Commerce Cloud Services  With consumption credits, you can scale your sandboxes using the Cloud Portal Use the Environment Configuration panel to enter various environment configurations then check your entitlements to see if you have enough capacity units for each  of these scaling configurations  Scalable Sandboxes currently apply to the to the scaling up and down of non-production, non-live tenants Premium Disaster Recovery  Every subscription comes with  a standard disaster recovery plan  However, if you decide to upgrade  your disaster recovery plan  from Standard to Premium you can your check your entitlements to see if you need to purchase  extra capacity units for this upgrade  If you need to purchase additional capacity units contact the SAP Account Team  And that's the end of the SAP Commerce Cloud Consumption Credits and Estimator Overview.   Be sure to use the Estimator at any time to recalculate your capacity unit requirements  as your needs change from event to event.  You can then adjust your services with confidence For more information about the Estimator,  or consumption credits please consult the Cloud Portal documentation  on the SAP Help Portal.   Thanks.
