Introducing ImpEx in SAP Commerce Cloud

In this video, I'm going to be providing a quick introduction to ImpEx and how it's used in the SAP Commerce Cloud.  So, what is "ImpEx"?  ImpEx is an out-of-the-box CSV-based import/export framework.  It's based on the SAP Commerce Cloud type system, so it requires a sound knowledge of Types and Attributes.  Developers can directly create, update, export, and remove items by means of ImpEx scripts, which is especially useful where bulk data operations are concerned.  ImpEx can be used in many user scenarios, such as: Importing customer data into a production system;  Creating backups;  Migrating data from one SAP Commerce installation to another; or importing test data into a QA system.  Import/export tasks can be launched in a number of different ways:  Using the Hybris Administration Console,  using Backoffice,  by means of CronJobs  or by API invocation.  Ok, it's time to demonstrate how ImpEx is used in practice.  In this example, we'll use the Hybris Administration Console to import a Customer into SAP Commerce. Now let's do it step by step.  We'll navigate to our Hybris bin platform directory in any command line window.  Then start the "Commerce server" by running this command for Mac or Linux; or this command for Windows.  Once the server has completed start-up,  we'll go to a browser,  open Backoffice,  and log in to Backoffice as "admin".  Then, in the Explorer Tree, we'll navigate to User > Customers,  Input demoCustomer in search box, and click the Search button.  There should be no customer with uid equal to 'demoCustomer'. So, let's open the Hybris Administration Console,  log in as "admin",  navigate to the Console tab, and then click ImpEx Import.  Now we're going to paste the content you can see on the screen.  And finally select Import content.  It's time to verify whether our import has been successful. Let's go back to Backoffice.  In the Explorer Tree, let's navigate to User > Customers. Enter demoCustomer in search box, then hit the Search button.  We now find there is a customer instance with a uid equal to 'demoCustomer' and name equal to 'Charlotte T.
