Introducing SAP Emarsys Content Blocks

Hello. In this video, I will give you a short introduction to the omnichannel Content Blocks. Content Blocks allow you to design and build reusable templates that can be easily updated and styled when creating new campaigns for Web Channel and Mobile in-app. Let's check how to create a Content Block that can be used as an overlay in web and in-app campaigns. First, go to Content, Content Blocks. SAP Emarsys provides prebuilt blocks that you can copy and then customize. You can also create new ones from scratch or contact Emarsys to request tailor-made brand-specific blocks from our Professional Services team. Once you have a block, you can edit copy, preview, archive, or delete it. If you have other linked accounts, you can also share Content Blocks with them. Use the search block type and status filters to find what you need. You can also change views and see archived or delete it blocks. You can tag and filter blocks based on various criteria. To do that first, create the tags on the Asset Tag Management page, then use them in Content Blocks. You can filter tag blocks in the Web Channel and Mobile In-app content creation step. Let's copy and edit this prebuilt block. On the Settings, I rename it and modify the description. To make my block compatible with web and in-app, I select both options here. I move to the HTML tab. Here I can edit the source of the campaign and insert predefined elements. To see the code better, I can expand this editor. I don't change the code here because I will modify the image and the text in the campaign. So I move to the next tab, Variables. These are the editable and predefined elements in the block. I can create, edit, copy, or delete them. I'd like to change the default setting of this variable. I click edit and modify the default value. Now onto the Styles tab, where you can style your HTML elements by using CSS. Next is the JavaScript tab where you can add additional functions to your blocks, for example, button interactions. And on the Edit History tab, you can preview and restore previous versions. Finally, I check the Mobile Preview. I'm done editing this block, so I click here. Content Blocks in ‘finished’ status are ready for use in the Web Channel and Mobile In-app. However, a block saved as a draft is not in the list of available blocks during campaign creation. Check our Web Channel and Mobile Engage In-app videos to know more about their campaign creation flow. I hope you found this video helpful. Thank you for your attention.
