The feature is exclusive to customers operating in hyperscale environments, ensuring it is tailored for enterprise-level performance. The architecture of SQL View Gateway is seamlessly integrated with SAP Commerce Cloud's primary database, ensuring direct access to data while maintaining optimal performance and security. The primary database serves as the backbone, with various storefronts and back-office applications performing input-output operations that are persisted on a shared storage layer. This shared storage also supports critical operations like backups and restores, ensuring reliability and data continuity. Each gateway connects directly to this shared storage, meaning it can access all changes in the primary database immediately once they are persisted. This ensures real-time data availability for extraction without placing any load or impact on the performance of the primary database, preserving the efficiency of core business operations. Every gateway in the architecture is designed to operate independently. It comes with its own dedicated compute power to handle processing demands and individual network configuration, including the option for secure connectivity via a VPN, and a separate authentication and authorization layer to ensure secure, isolated access. This setup guarantees both flexibility and tailored performance, allowing you to extract data securely without compromise. In summary, the SQL View Gateway architecture is designed for real-time access to persisted database changes, isolation of operations to prevent performance degradation, and robust security, enabling you to efficiently manage and extract data without impacting the business critical operations of SAP Commerce Cloud.
