Introducing the SAP Fiori Manage Material Coverage App

Hello everyone and welcome to this microlearning. I would like to introduce the new SAP Fiori app, Manage Material Coverage, to you. My name is Markus Örtelt from SAP Engineering. Okay, let's take a look at the system to see the new SAP Fiori app Manage Material Coverage in action. First step is we go into the Monitor Material Coverage Net Segments app. In this app, I want to choose three materials. After I put the three materials into the filter, I click on Go. Here you can see the three materials. The material number, the material description, supplier number, shortage quantity, and also the stock availability. Next, as we go into the app settings, and here in the MRP settings, we see the area of responsibility, the MRP run parameters. We also see that the change requests are activated. This is an important step here. The Managed Material Coverage new SAP Fiori app will be activated this way. So I'm selecting the three materials and click on Manage Materials. And with this, I come into the new SAP Fiori app, Manage Material Coverage. You see the app is divided. I can move this to the right here and get the information of my material number and material description and also the plant information. And I'm in the first case here interested in this material. I make this screen a little bit bigger here. So here in the stock requirements list I can see the date, the MRP elements, additional information, and in this column I can do actions. Here the status, for example for the change request, this one has been accepted. The next one has been with a new proposal from a supplier. And by moving into the issues column, I can see here the issues that I have. Here in this column I see the quantity and also the availability. Here in the actions column I could then accept also the shortage as a production planner. But in our case I would like to do another thing. Today I would like to export my information of the stock requirements list to Excel. Now the Excel is starting up. And here, the Excel sheet, you can see the information you just saw in the Fiori app. So the date, the MRP elements, also the additional information again, and here the change request status and the supply response is also seen. Here on the right we also see or find the issues, which you just saw in the SAP Fiori app. Here another issue, because you saw two issues in the SAP Fiori app. And also the quantity and availability of the pieces can be seen here. Let's move back to the SAP Fiori app and go to the second material. Here, for the second material, I would like to make the screen also a little bit bigger, so we can see it a little bit better. And here, in the Action column, you can see that the purchase requisition have been rescheduled or have been in the handover process. You see the status again, which ones are affirmed, and here I see one that has not been handed over. I click on hand over purchase requisition. Yes, this is what I want. And with that, this purchase requisition, as you can see here in the status, has been handed over to the purchasing department. I see some issues here in the stock requirements list as well. And here, down here, I can also see there's a re-scratchling, but here the information tells me that this one has been affirmed. So, here as well, as a manufacturing or production planner, I can also pull my information into Excel. Here in the Excel sheet you can also see the same information as in the SAP Fiori app. The date, MRP element, additional information, also the handover status and the issues. Also you can see here if the purchase proposition is affirmed and also the quantity and availability. I close this window or make it a little smaller, not close it, but smaller, and click on this material here. You can also see here the action and the status list, again, with this status. And I'm interesting here in the view settings and I pull in some further information that will give me more insights in my production planning process. So here we see the supplying and receiving plant, which is FIO number 2. And we see here that this material is actually in the plant FIO 1. So here I see clearly where my supply or what my receiving plant is. Next I'm interested in pulling in another material. So here I'm looking for my material I'm interested in. This one here. By clicking on it, I can add it to my stock requirements list. And here I'm choosing the new material, also extending the screen. And here you can also see the action status issues list. And here I'm willing to take the risk to accept the shortage as a production planner. And now you can see on the availability of the pieces, that from this red color, now with accepting the shortage, that everything turned black. So as a production planner, I accepted the shortage. I could also revoke it if I want to. And also here in the stock requirements list, I can see the dependent requirements. And by clicking on one, I can see the dependent requirement information. and I'm particularly interested in this component requirements here of the source material. You can see the source material and by clicking on it I'll have the stock requirements list of my source material here. And here, make the screen a little bigger, I can also see all the stock requirements, list information I need as a production planner, as seen in the other materials. Let's go back to my list of materials. The next example is, I would like to show you the search functionality of the new Managed Material Coverage app. For that, I'm selecting more materials, so to make this scenario a little bit more realistic, I'm clicking my OK, I get the newly selected materials here into my circuit requirements list. And let's type in s and capitalized AD and see what the system comes up with. So here, you see the fuzzy search for the material number and material description, and the system found one material. Let's go back to our list. And for example now I misspell plan and this is how the system with the fuzzy search is helping me finding my material numbers with that material description. Also, I can type in demo finished because I'm at the end and here of course I have no data, but I hope you enjoyed it. With that I'm going back from the Managed Material Coverage into the Monitor Material Coverage and
