Introduction: Integrating SAP Sales and Service Cloud with SAP S/4HANA Cloud using SAP Cloud Integration

Hi! In this video series, we’ll demonstrate how to connect SAP Sales and Service Cloud with SAP S/4HANA Cloud using SAP Cloud Integration  and execute some sample integration scenarios. After setting up connectivity between the systems and configuration of material and business partner replication, we will replicate a material and a business partner from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to SAP Sales and Service Cloud. We will use them to create a new sales quote in SAP Sales and Service Cloud and finally send it as a follow-up sales order to S/4HANA Cloud. This is the first video of a series that will guide you through the process. In this video we will discuss some prerequisites and theory. In the next videos we will start with the configuration of SAP S/4HANA Cloud! After that continue the configuration in SAP Cloud Integration and SAP Sales and Service Cloud. In the last two videos we will carry out the replication of the necessary master data and finally create the sales quote with it.  Before we start with a system overview, we should have a look at the products, that we use and their names, respectively their name history. Because there have been some changes in the past. Our first product is SAP Sales and Service Cloud, which is actually named SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud, depending on which part of the system you have licensed. In former times the name was SAP Cloud for Customer, in short C4C or COD which is short for Customer OnDemand. You will find this name in some places during the configuration. SAP Cloud Integration was previously called SAP Cloud Platform Integration with the common abbreviation CPI. Before that it was called HANA Cloud Integration, often abbreviated HCI. And the last one: SAP S/4HANA. This has not been renamed. It’s the successor of SAP ERP. This video series is only about the Cloud Edition which makes an important difference! Alright, after we have clarified the naming conventions, let’s have a look at the system overview. As already mentioned, we will connect SAP Sales and Service Cloud with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and we will have SAP Cloud Integration in-between. That means, the outer systems send their requests to SAP Cloud Integration, where they are processed by so called integration flows, sometimes also referred to as iFlows. Integration flows can contain logic for translation of messages, adapting the content or even query additional data form external systems. Sometimes they simply forward the message to the desired target system. We will see later, how this works. The integration scenarios, that we setup in this video series, require several message exchanges between the systems. Relevant message flows are: For the master data integration: Material replication from S/4HANA, Business Partner replication from S/4HANA as well as the confirmation back to S/4HANA and Business Partner Relationship replication from S/4HANA.  For the transactional scenario we need: Request External Pricing in S/4HANA, Send Sales Quote Follow-up to S/4HANA and Send Updates on Sales Quotes from S/4HANA to SAP Sales and Service Cloud. Let’s start with the configuration of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud! See you in the next video.
