Introduction to SAP Commerce Cloud

Hi my name is Andrew and welcome to this quick guide series on SAP Commerce Cloud,  the industry-leading omnichannel commerce solution that helps you win! Our commerce solutions integrate all of your digital and physical customer touch-points into ONE platform.  Whatever your industry, SAP Commerce Cloud can help you create relevant and personalized customer experiences  that boost loyalty and increase your sales. “This all sounds great but how does it work?”  To give you an overview, let’s look at the most powerful features. Of course, SAP Commerce Cloud includes all core  commerce capabilities that enable you to engage and transact with your customers digitally.  But what makes our solution stand out is the following:  First is Product Content Management. Thanks to state-of-the-art product content, collaboration, and integration capabilities,  handling large volumes of product information with SAP Commerce Cloud is a complete breeze.  Your data is consolidated on a single platform and consistent across all channels and easy to maintain.  But as you know, managing product data is not only about editing.  Much more, it’s about making sure that the right products reach the right customers at the right time.  This is what SAP calls Customer Experience.  From promotions, product suggestions, the look of your storefront, to search results and support information, with SAP Commerce  Cloud you can tailor all the information reaching your customers to their needs in just a few clicks.  SAP Commerce Cloud empowers you with intuitive tools to zero in on every stage and channel of your customer’s journey.  What’s the easiest way to personalize your storefront for a customer?  By looking at your storefront through your customer’s eyes of course!  And what’s the easiest way to provide customer support?  You guessed it, on the storefront, with all customer information at your fingertips!   But that is not all, with commerce, your customers have full autonomy in managing their shopping experience.  From deliveries, carts, multi-country support, orders to preferences and data privacy,  everything can be handled right on the storefront. In addition to that, The Intelligent Selling Services for the SAP Commerce  Cloud solution can capture and analyze behavioral data in real time across each customer’s shopping journey  based on machine learning and deep learning processes, and continually create  and enrich individualized customer experiences, optimize customer relevance, and maximize business impact on your needs. Another way, SAP Commerce Cloud supports your customers  during their entire shopping experience is Order Management. It tracks and displays order and inventory data in real time,  and more importantly, it allows you to define how your customers' orders should be sourced.  Thanks to its powerful configuration capabilities, you define how your inventory and sourcing works,  no matter how many brick-and-mortar stores, warehouses, and IT systems are involved.  So to sum up, SAP Commerce Cloud brings together Product Content Management,  Experience Management, Order Management, and a range of other Commerce capabilities into one system.  Let’s take a step back for a second. How can you quickly build and deploy an omnichannel  storefront with all the features you need for your business? In this day and age, there are certain features all  customers expect from storefronts, such as shopping carts, search, checkout, an account section.  This is where the Commerce module and the SAP Commerce Cloud, composable storefront come into play.  First, the Commerce module includes ready-to-use commerce packages that cover most common features of e-commerce business,  many of which are tailored to business models such as B2C or B2B, or to specific industries such as financial services,  telecommunications, etc. Most importantly, all these features are also exposed as the commerce REST API, serving a modern  and headless commerce experience. Second as a lean, Angular-based JavaScript storefront for SAP Commerce Cloud:  the composable storefront communicates with SAP Commerce Cloud exclusively  through the commerce REST API. It’s composable, configurable, and upgradable while maintaining full extendibility,  meaning you can add your own functionality, hide what’s there or adopt new versions easily.  Putting these two together, we right away get ready-made storefronts that match your business requirements by  providing all the key features needed in a Commerce platform, this allows you to quickly create a fast,  engaging PWA storefront for SAP Commerce Cloud to achieve a delightful customer experience  that increase conversion and revenue. Let’s summarize some of the capabilities that come with SAP Commerce Cloud  and the composable storefront together: The Platform – this is the core of SAP Commerce Cloud,  and we’ll take a closer look at this in the next video.
