Managing Audit Reports with Verify - SAP Concur

Managing Audit Reports with Verify Verify is an extended audit service that allows your company to obtain an accurate view into their spending risk and compliance. Using Verify, you can quickly analyze receipts, credit card transactions, and travel bookings to identify policy compliance issues and errors. Verify provides you with better oversight of your entire travel and expense policy, giving you the ability to see policy gaps and trends so that you can strengthen your policies to reduce risk and overall cost. In the following example, you will see how to audit expense reports that are assigned to you and how to pass or fail an expense exception in a report. To begin, on the Manage Expenses screen, select the Verify drop-down menu. When Verify analyzes an expense report using the receipts and policy checks and finds that at least one exception is identified, the report is automatically moved to the Reports Pending Audit Review page. Select Reports pending audit review. By default, the list of reports that need to be audited will only show those reports that contain at least one exception. To review a single report, select the row of the report that you want to view. Note that, as an auditor, you will only see the reports for the audit profiles that are assigned to you. You can use the Submission Date Range, Audit Profile, (if assigned to multiple profiles), and Assignee filters to narrow your search. In this example, you will search the list of reports by employee name. Enter the employee's name, and then select the Search icon. Select the report you want to audit. From the Expenses tab, you can view the report details, including exceptions and any attached receipts. To review the audit details, select the Report Details tab. On the Report Details tab, you can view the report and employee details. You can select View Audit Trail to review a timeline of employee expense report activities and audit level activities. Select Close. Select the Expenses tab. To pass or fail an expense exception in a report, select the Auditor Response drop-down menu under the appropriate exception. If there is an Exception Fail, the report will be sent back to the employee and you must add a comment for correction. If there is an Exception Pass, the exception was passed by your company's configured pass options and does not violate policy. If a Pass - Incorrect Exception auditor response displays, it means the expense item was incorrectly flagged as an exception and does not violate company policy. Neither Pass option requires further action from the employee. For this example, select Failed - Incorrect Amount. Select Add Exception, an optional feature, to always send the report back to the auditor for re-audit when the employee resubmits the report. Note that this link is available for each line item. To complete the audit, select Submit.
