Managing B2B Scenario Used in AI Environment with SAP Integration Suite

Hello and welcome to the session, where we'll showcase how you can easily manage all your B2B scenarios in an AI environment with SAP Integration Suite. I will do this based on a real-world example. A business partner is sending an ASCX12 purchase order via the AS2 adapter and you as a customer want to convert the message into an iDoc and send it to your S/4HANA backend. First step is to onboard the business partner via our trading partner management capability. It acts as a central application to manage and orchestrate all your B2B scenarios. It offers reusable templates and trading partner profiles in order to minimize the onboarding and maintenance effort of all your training partners. You also require a message implementation guideline and a mapping. This is usually the most time-consuming task. With our integration advisor, we can significantly reduce the development effort by leveraging AI-based proposals. So let's have a look into the system how this can be achieved. Trading partner management allows for an easy onboarding and maintenance of your business partners. You can set the profile for your own company as well as subsidiaries. In the same way, you can also add profiles for your trading partners. What are these profiles for? They include information and configuration that will be reused in your B2B scenarios. For example, you can maintain identifiers like DUNS number, as well as technical details like the system configuration, protocols, credentials, also security-related artifacts like signing and encryption settings, as well as certificates. All of that is maintained centrally and can be later referenced in the agreements. This reduces the onboarding time and also the maintenance effort. So let's have a look into the agreements. The trading partner agreement defines the business transactions and conditions for your data interchanged with your business partners. When we create one, it's usually created out of an agreement template. The template is containing the transaction steps which are not changing across different trading partners. For example, the orders IDOC has the same structure and we also have a central S/4HANA system which stays the same for all our sales order integrations. Specific for each trading partner is how he delivers the message. In our case, it would be via the AS2 adapter. The connection details of the adapter we have maintained in the trading partner profile listed before. What we also have to define is the message implementation guideline and the mapping guideline for our trading partner. And the creation of these artifacts is done in the integration advisor. We first start with the message implementation guideline that defines how the message is structured. We have many different type systems available that include the message structure as well as the full documentation of the B2B standard. In our scenario, let's choose the ASC X12 standard and search for the 850 purchase order. Then we can select a version of the standard and then create our message implementation guideline. At the end, we provide the details including the business context, which is considered by our AI for the next step in the recommendations. The B2B standard libraries provide many different fields, but only a small subset is used in reality. To identify the relevant fields for our use case we can leverage AI and our proposal service for this. With our proposal service you get a recommendation which fields are usually used depending on your business context. So once the message implementation guideline is defined we can create the mapping guidelines. The mapping guideline contains the conversion rules to transform the source into the target's virtue. You can also leverage AI to get mapping proposals, and also here it takes into consideration the business context of your source and target MIG in order to give specific recommendations for your use case. Just press the proposal button. Now we get 227 proposals from AI and you can imagine doing all of that manually is quite a time-consuming task. we can just say select best proposals and save a lot of time during development for our interfaces. So once the mapping is finalized we can then switch back to our trading partner management. In our trading partner management we simply have to select the source MIG and then also the mapping then we can save it and now our B2B scenario is ready for deployment we just press activate. So now the B2B scenario is active and ready to receive messages from our trading partner. Let's have a look into the monitoring. In our B2B monitor you have all relevant messages listed. There's lots of different filters available. When you click on one message you see detailed information about sender and receiver as well as the sender payload and also the receiver payload, so the x12 and also here the IDOC message. This is how you can easily exchange messages with trading partners by using the trading partner management and integration advisor capability.
