Managing Variables in Open Payment Framework for SAP Commerce Cloud

In this video, we'll explore how to create and effectively use variables in OPF.  Variables are essential for building dynamic and adaptable configurations, and they are stored securely using encryption. Let's start by creating a new variable.  A common use case is an API endpoint.  For example, let's use the pre-configured PSP endpoint.  I'll save this variable now.  Next, we'll apply the variable.  I'll navigate to the Session Initialization  Request section.  Notice the hard-coded endpoint URL in the request.  I'll replace that with our new variable.  I'll repeat this process for any other instances of the hard-coded endpoint URL, like in the verification request URL,   applying the variable each time  Now let's look at another example:  storing encrypted secrets  I'll create a variable for our Hmac Secret   I'll enter a placeholder value and importantly,  mark it as a secret  this ensures the value is securely stored.  Finally, I'll go to the notification configuration  and edit the authentication method.  I'll enable the secret is script option.  This allows me to reference the Hmac secret variable within a script.   That's a quick overview of creating and applying variables in OPF.  Using variables significantly enhances your configuration's flexibility and security.  Thanks for watching.
