Master Data Setup - SAP Broker Reconciliation for Commodity Derivatives

Hello and welcome to the session about how to set up and configure master data for SAP broker reconciliation for commodity derivatives. In this video, you will learn which master data must be maintained to run the app. SAP broker reconciliation for commodity derivatives can be connected to any backend system, but we will not cover every possibility now. We assume you want to connect to a system with SAP S4HANA 2020 release or higher, all required SAP nodes are already implemented. If you need more specific information at any point, please check out the Administration Guide at the help.sap.com page for SAP Broker Reconciliation for Commodity Derivatives or contact us for any further guidance. First, we will talk about data in S4HANA. You need to have a business partner for every broker you want to work with in SAP Broker Reconciliation for Commodity Derivatives. This can be checked in Transaction BP. Every broker needs the role TR0151, Counterparty, and the clearing brokers also need the role TR0152, Depository Bank. If the naming of the contract maturity code differs from your broker and from how you maintain it in your system, you need to define a secondary index for contract maturity code in the customizing. This field must be populated in every contract maturity code matching the name from your broker. If this change should also apply to already created contract maturity codes, you also need to implement a BAdI for a new determination method. How this is exactly done can be found in the Administration Guide for SAP Broker Reconciliation for Commodity Derivatives. After that, you can check in transaction FWCC the contract maturity code for a specific security class ID and see if the change is applied. As a last step of the S4 HANA setup, you need to configure your system for trigger matching functionality and provide authorizations. Therefore, you need to create a new role in transaction PFCG. Authorization object. CMM_BR_RC and CM_BR_TM in the object class cmmb. Enable the technical users to perform the matching in your backend system. You need to expand the authorization object and set the activity values, company code, depository bank and broker account number to display and to create or generate. After the S4 system is set up, you can go to your SAP Broker Reconciliation for Commodity Derivatives app and perform the following steps. To configure which destination system should be called from fetching the data, you need to open the Configure Data Selection for Destinations tile. Create a new entry by typing a system name and system type, in that case SAP S4HANA 2020 and above. Now you can go back to the overview screen and need to open the Map Broker to business partner tile to map your brokers to your business partners. Create an entry for every broker you want to connect with your broker's name from the statements, the broker type, trading or clearing, the system you want to connect, and the business partner which needs to be mapped to the broker. To define a trading broker account for your trading broker, you need to open the map trading account tile. Create an entry for every trading broker by adding the broker's name, broker account number from a statement, company code from which trades with this broker are done, and backend system name. As a last step, you also need to define at least one clearing account per clearing broker. To maintain clearing account mapping go to the map clearing account tile. For this definition you also need a clearing broker name, clearing account number from a statement, company code and account description which is the future account where you want to connect with a specific clearing account. You also need to indicate if matching is required for this account. You can now upload broker statements and reconcile them with your connected S4HANA system. If you have any additional questions, please check our help page, our SAP blog posts, or of course contact us directly. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more videos to come.
