Navigating the SAP CPQ User Interface - SAP CPQ

Hello. My name is Amy.  In this video, I'll show you how to navigate the SAP CPQ User Interface.  Upon logging into SAP CPQ, the product Catalog displays by default.  The look, feel, and layout of the application depends on the branding and customization upon implementation.   The environment displayed here shows the default branding without any customization.  The SAP CPQ UI consists of three major components.  These components are the Central Screen Area, The Main Navigation Toolbar, and the Shell Bar.  First, let’s discuss the Central Screen Area.  When you access SAP CPQ, the Catalog is displayed by default and product item Categories display in the central screen area.  All categories and subcategories are displayed to the left of the catalog. The products in the application are organized into the categories.  You can click any of the categories either in the central area, or to the left of the central area to display the products they contain.  This makes it easy for users to browse for specific products and add them to quotes. On the upper right-hand side of the catalog screen, you can use the Search icon to search for products.  The Filter icon allows you to filter for a search by name, description, part number, and type.  The Sort icon allows you to select how you want the information displayed on the screen.  And finally, you have the option to switch to a table view, which displays the products in a table.  Now, let’s move to the Main Navigation Toolbar, which is located on the left side of the screen.  This toolbar can be expanded and collapsed with the arrow at the bottom of the screen.  From this toolbar, you can Load an Existing Project or Quotation.  Selecting this option allows you to view a dynamic list of all the quotes you’ve created.  Selecting the Catalog option displays the product item categories. From here, you can select categories to find products in the catalog. The Setup option requires that you select either Setup,  which is where all the relevant information about products, quotes, and categories is managed,  Developer Console, Script Workbench, or Log. This area of SAP CPQ is for more advanced users such as developers or administrators.  And finally, let’s discuss the Shell Bar.  The bar that runs across the top of the screen contains menu icons for New Project/Quotation,  Recently Viewed, and User Menu.  Clicking the New Project/Quotation icon will take you to the catalog page where the products are displayed.  This is also the default landing page for SAP CPQ.  The Recently Viewed icon opens a dropdown menu containing the last five items you viewed.  The Favorites icon allows you to view a list of products that you’ve marked as a favorite.  The User Menu opens a dropdown menu. With this menu, you have the options to:  Update details on the User Page, such as user details, personal information, and password,  Manage customers,  Manage Generated Documents, define the Quote Layout, run Reports, and Sign Out.  Thank you for watching.
