Optimizing Mobile Phone Experience for SAP Fiori Elements Apps – PET 2026

Hello and welcome to the Product Expert Training H1 2026. Today, we're diving into a topic that's crucial for modern businesses, optimizing the mobile phone experience for SAP Fiori Elements applications. Before we begin, a quick reminder that this presentation is for informational purposes. SAP strategies and future developments are subject to change at any time. My name is Maria, I'm a product manager for UX in the Cloud ERP and SCM Product Success organization and I'm excited to share these insights with you today. So let's dive right in. Our goal is to reimagine SAP Fiori applications for modern mobile workflows, allowing you to work with ease anywhere and anytime. To achieve this, we're delivering a mobile-first experience through a compact, modern, and high-performance framework. So what does this actually mean for you? First, we're enhancing usability for key mobile scenarios with layouts and interactions tailored specifically for smartphones. We've reduced complexity by removing features and patterns that aren't suited for mobile use, ensuring you only see what's essential when you're on the go. This leads to improved productivity and speed. You'll find simplified navigation, faster access to actions, and an information density that's perfectly optimized for a smaller screen. And finally, we're enabling seamless switching between mobile and desktop modes. This supports flexible working, so you can start a task on your phone during a commute, for example, and finish it at your desk without missing a beat. Speaking of new capabilities, I also want to highlight an opportunity for you to influence the future of our mobile experience; we are eager to learn from you. You can sign up for our Early Adopter Care program to help us enhance the mobile experience with new features and functions. You can find the sign up link in this slide deck that will be shared with the video. Our base AI-assisted features are free of charge, of course. There's only one thing that you have to do is sign the acceptance of SAP AI terms for base AI-assisted features in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and after that you can use them. You will find further information in this SAP Note linked on the slide and you can use the QR code to sign the acceptance. And now let's see what this looks like on the phone directly. So after installation, you will find the Joule Works app on your device. This is based on an iOS device as you can see. Let's go into the app now and you can see that all of your apps are displayed in tiles on the home screen. Let's now go into the Manage Custom Orders app And you can see here the easy filter where you can now type in your query And then you tap on "Go" And you can see now that you have three filtered records. You can expand them and collapse them the way you want it and you can now go into the filter, see there's a check, you can edit it. You can see your query, you can delete your query or you can also put it as favorite. You can remove the favorite and now you can edit your query right in the text field. So now we want to show the orders with an ID. If you don't have the ID handy, the cool thing is, you can also tap on "scan" up there and you can scan it and it will then be put in the text field automatically and it will then show you that specific order that you requested. You can see there you can unfilter it and then see all the other orders again. You can go into an order and then see all the information that is needed at one glance. You can swipe through and see also the item and general information. And you can go back, swipe to get more information. And you can see there are different options for settings. You can see that you can show what is displayed, you can also move around the order of where what should be displayed. You can go into sorting mode, sort for different values, and then you can also have different views. For example the standard or the mobile, you can see there what different views you have. We have the mobile view here as you can see and then you can of course share it with your colleagues for easy collaboration. And you can see there as well you can switch to the desktop version like we said in the beginning. So now you've seen the optimized mobile experience. The entire experience is designed to be fast and responsive so you can complete your task quickly and get back to your daily business. This is all about getting business done on the move without compromise and without missing anything that you would have in the desktop version of your system.
