Sharing Implementation Experiences from SAP Suite Projects – PET 2026

Hello, everyone, and welcome to 2026 H1 Product Expert Training. In this session, we'll walk through SAP's Suite of Solution Implementation experience, focusing not only on the solutions themselves, but on how to successfully implement them end-to-end. We'll explore key patterns, delivery models, and resources that help customers and partners execute transformation programs with speed, consistency, and most importantly flexibility to cater for each project's needs. A quick note, this session is for informational purposes and reflects SAP's current direction, which may evolve over time. My name is Vojku and I'm a Principal Solution Architect within SAP's Product and Engineering organization. In the next minutes I will guide you through how SAP Suite comes together from solution packaging through implementation models to the tools and resources that support a successful delivery. We'll cover four key areas. SAP Suite solutions and packages, the difference between customer managed and SAP Manage implementation tools and resources that contribute to a successful project experience and finally how to express your interest for SAP Manage unified provisioning and the pre-delivery of technical integration if this approach suits your needs let's start with the suite itself SAP's Software as a Service suite is built around the core principle Flexibility in how customers adopt and implement solutions Customers have different transformation needs and desires Some want to replace core systems while others aim to transform end-to-end processes Some prefer to start small and evolve to iterations while other projects prefer cross -application process implementations To support this, SAP enables flexible entry points, adoptable implementation sequencing, and scalable expansion via scope extensions. The goal is to allow customers to move from individual solutions to a fully integrated enterprise suite at their own needs and pace while ensuring consistency. The suite is organized into modular packages aligned to key business domains such as finance and spend. supply chain management, human capital management, procurement, and customer experience. This allows customers to choose the right starting point for their journey, being base packages or premium packages that have several solutions embedded. Some may begin with core finance, others with procurement or HR, and many will expand over time. There is no single starting point, only the right one for each project that maximizes value. An important aspect of a future implementation while planning the scope is choosing between customer -managed and SAP-managed approaches. In a customer-managed model, the customer provisions the system landscape as per needs, manages integrations, while operational monitoring is shared between customer and SAP. This offers flexibility with a level of responsibility and complexity. In contrast, the SAP managed model simplifies delivery by standardizing landscape provisioning, managing integrations and monitoring, enabling end-to-end process consistency. So, in simple terms, Customer Managed offers flexibility and control, while SAP Managed offers simplification and acceleration. Currently, SAP Managed offerings focus on key end-to-end processes, such as Hire to Retire for Workforce Management and Procure to Pay for Operational Procurement. These are delivered through integrated solutions like S/4HANA Public Cloud and SuccessFactors Employee Central, alongside Ariba Buying and Invoicing, all being supported by our foundational services such as Identity and Access Management, Master Data Integration, alongside Data Orchestration. A key benefit is that SAP handles the technical integration layer, ensuring stable and consistent operations. Please note that SAP Managed, that addresses unified system provisioning and technical integration pre-delivered of set processes, is currently in an early adopter phase. Participation is therefore controlled and based on registration and expression of interest. We will touch upon this subject later on in this video. a major enabler for successful implementation is the sap tools and guidance framework while every customer has unique needs when it comes to digital transformation some projects start with targeted application replacements while others aim for full end-to-end process transformation depending on their business priorities and system landscape To support this variety of starting points, we have analyzed numerous project implementations and consolidated proven implementation patterns into the suite implementation success guide. For example, configuring settings in S/4HANA Cloud ERP in a way that enables later integrations of solutions like SAP Concours Travel and Expense as part of a phase transformation journey. Alongside SAP Activate Implementation methodology, these guides provide both structure and flexibility, allowing teams to adopt roadmaps to each customer scenario. The key questions these guides answer are, what should we focus on today to support tomorrow's expansion? What should the project team pay particular attention when setting up the project and relevant configuration? Because successful transformation isn't just about getting started, it's about building the foundation for continuous innovation and growth. As mentioned before, let's touch upon SAP Managed, for which we provided a set of enablement assets which include an activated dedicated roadmap for SAP Managed, help documentation alongside notes and knowledge base articles and since SAP Managed is currently in early adopter, the registration portals. These links are the primary way to express, explore your interest into participating in the program. To summarize, we created the Suite Success Guide that highlights best practices for common cases regarding setting up and configuring the suite solutions. In addition, customers have now the option to choose between Customer Managed and SAP Managed. Please check out our additional enablement materials. And stay tuned for upcoming videos.
