Simplifying Integrated Workforce Management Within the SAP Autonomous Suite – PET 2026

Hello everyone, and welcome to today's session on Integrated Workforce Management within the SAP Autonomous Suite. My name is Samuel Bikdili from SAP Suite Product Management, and I'll guide you through how finance and HR come together, and how SAP managed integration is reshaping the space. Before we start, please note the standard SAP disclaimer on this slide regarding forward-looking statements and product direction, and with that, let's move on. Quick introduction, as Seth, I'm part of the SAP Suite product management team, and my focus is on integrating business processes across finance and HR. So, before we dive in, let's quickly zoom out. Within product expert training sessions, we always position topics in an end-to-end process. Today, let's recruit to retire. Recruit to retire covers the full workforce lifecycle and, importantly, connects HR and finance for shared workforce data. And that's exactly the bridge we'll explore in this session. hybris what we'll cover in detail. First, why FIDAT and HR belong together. Then, the SAP managed workforce management with the 26.2 product roof, a demo recording, and last but not least, adoption and how to get started with SAP managed workforce management. Let's start with the core message. Finance and HR are deeply connected. From a finance perspective, workforce data drives payroll postings, expenses, and project costing directly impacting financial growth. From an HR perspective, the same data is the foundation for organizational structures, roles, and employee lifecycle processes. different responsibilities, different systems, but shared workforce data. And that shared data must be accurate and consistent throughout both financial and operational processes. Let's make this tangible with an example. Imagine a company creates a new legal entity. Without proper integration, HR cannot align org structures. Rules and authorizations break. Compensation and budgets are incorrect. payroll errors occur, and finally, all the downstream processes will fail. A single disconnection in the whole chain creates a cascade of issues across the enterprise. Now compare this to an integrated setup. Organization changes are affected consistently. Employees are re-signed correctly, budgets and payroll align, approval workflow and downstream processes work seamlessly. Integration absorbs the change instead of amplifying issues. And this is what alignment looks like. HR manages employee data. Finance manages financial structures, but both rely on synchronized information from the other system. This is the foundation for integrated workforce management. So the question becomes, how do we ensure this integration works reliably? And that brings us to SAP managed version of product of workforce management. Traditionally, customers had to manage the integration themselves with all the steps associated with it, configuring, monitoring, operations, everything. With SAP managed, SAP will handle the provisioning, SAP will manage the integration, and SAP will ensure stable operations. The result is reduced complexity and faster time to value. If you look at the benefits and distinguish between customers on the top and partners on the bottom, we have for the customers a lower implementation cost, faster time to value, and simplified operations with a lower TCO. So, customers get up and running faster with less complexity. For the partners on the other hand, they can focus on the business outcome, not technical plumbing. And they have predictable delivery with less integration risk. So partners can concentrate on transformation and customer value. So overall, it's a win-win. Partners gain speed and simplicity, when customers gain speed and simplicity, partners can focus on delivering business impact. Let's now look at how we realized within the context of the Autonomous Suite. The key point here. The solutions highlighted in blue, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing are already available since the 2602 release as part of an early adopter care program. Customers can start today with SAP managed integrations across these core solutions. The other solutions shown are planned for upcoming releases in 2026 and beyond. So we are taking a stepwise approach, starting with core finance and HR integration and expanding the suite over time. Looking at the product truth and best practice with landscape. So we realized the standardized best practice landscape setup. We have defined this. This includes SAP managed provisioning, SAP managed identity and access management, and SAP managed integrations. SAP takes the responsible for the technical foundation, enabling faster and more stable implementations. How does this look in reality? Instead of multiple tools and manual setup, up, everything is streamlined into three steps in SAP for me. First, customers or partners activate the suite context. Then, they can call off the individual products as part of my suite. And last but not least, they will activate the workforce management scenario. And with this, the integration. So the integration is no longer a separate project. It becomes part of scenario activation. This creates a much more business-driven and simplified onboarding experience. We can look at the details in this next system demo. With this release, SAP Product Activation starts the transition from a manual, technical setup with customer-managed operational mode to a business-oriented, guided, and pre-configured SAP-managed process located in the Portfolio and Products tab in SAP for me. Customers can now discover and manage an entire business suite, including finance, procurement, and success factors for S4 HANA Cloud, and tap into integrated processes such as Hire to retire with ease. The 2602 release focuses on four values. SAP Managed, where SAP takes control and responsibility for the technical and operational aspects of the apps. Harmonization, where all suite products share the same activation and configuration experience. Simplification, focus on business decisions and remove all technical references. One-time decision, ask the customer once and enforce selections across the suite. Let's see these values in action. Customers start by creating a suite context for each landscape tier, dev, test, production, which centralizes shared services and settings for all the subsequent product activations and acts as the glue between the suite products. These one-time selections will be used as defaults in the suite product activation. Customers then activate products such as S4 HANA Cloud or SuccessFactors in a harmonized, standardized experience, associating them with a designated suite context. Shared services and settings are automatically inherited, applied, and enforced. As entitlements allow, additional products can be activated using the harmonized process and linked to the suite context. Next, the hire-to-retire process integration connects S/4HANA Cloud with success factors using Master Data Integration, MDI. Activating this process requires only the suite context as input. All technical aspects are automatically resolved on the customer's behalf. Now, the customer has fully functional integrated products, ready to be leveraged. Future releases will add more products, like customer experience, procurement, and cross -product processes like procure to pay and salesforce automation further enhancing the suite's integrated business value and user experience all powered by sap unified services so let's talk about adoption we support customers and partners with the updated sap activate methodology the well -known and well-defined activate methodology has been adopted to cover all the sap managed details as well. Then we have the H2R Delivery Guide, which was a joint collaboration with the colleagues from CS&D and their communities to provide essential accelerators and enablement. This enables delivery outcomes in 8 to 10 weeks for customers. Then we have the H2R Cookbook, a central repository for joint configuration, master data, and migration guides. And this ensures you, the customer, and partners are equipped with the right knowledge. To receive offer of this, we started an early adopter care program. It's a new product. We like to closely monitor and observe our first customers that go live with the solution while ensuring their business success. Within this early adopter care program, a dedicated person from the development team will accompany these first customers in their go-live journey and be the central point for contact, accelerating issues and ticket resolution, but also collecting directly feedback from the customer as they go on. It's important to point out there are no additional costs associated for the partners or customers. So, what are the key takeaways of today's session? First, finance and HR belong together, connected by shared workforce data. Second, SAP managed integration reduces complexity and accelerates value. And last but not least, SAP managed and customer managed approaches can and will coexist depending on customer needs. Customer managed integrations will not go away. Thank you for your time today.
