Testing Payment Authorization, Capture and Refund in Open Payment Framework

Hello, in this video I will demonstrate how to test the payment authorization, capture, and refund processes we have configured in OPF.  To demonstrate, I'll start by navigating to the storefront and quickly placing an order. I'll add a product to the cart,  proceed to checkout, and fill in the payment details.  Once the order is complete, I'll copy the order number. Next, in OPF, I'll go to the transaction workspace and search for the relevant transaction using the order number.  The transaction status will be  in the waiting state.  To check the response  from the payment service provider,  I'll navigate to the notification log.  Using the configuration ID of my related PSP, I can view the corresponding notifications.  After a few refreshes, the notification arrives,  showing the related transaction with its status marked as accepted.  Next, using the order ID, I'll go to the back office order fulfillment cockpit  and search for the consignments  related to that order.  However, I don't seem to find any consignments, which should normally be generated after the payment is successfully captured and the order is sourced.  Upon reviewing the notification log,  I'll take note of this transaction ID and navigate to the transaction's workspace. There, I see that the payment method for this transaction is blank, indicating a potential issue with the notification configuration.  Let's return to the notification authorization section,    I noticed an incorrect mapping for the payment method, where the event type was mapped instead of the correct payment method details property.  I'll correct the configuration and save the changes.   Then, I'll place a new order to test the updated mapping.  I'll copy the order ID again and navigate to the transaction's workspace  to search for the related transaction. After several refreshes, the  transaction status updates to Accepted, and the payment method is correctly assigned as credit card.  Clicking on the transaction even reveals additional details, such as the card type. Returning to the storefront's order details page,  the payment information is now properly populated and displayed.   Additionally, in the back office order fulfillment cockpit, with the order ID, I can find the generated consignment.  Next, I'll initiate the capture  and refund process by clicking confirm ship  on the consignment, which triggers the capture of the order value via the configured PSP.  Back to OPF,  in the transaction view,  we can see that the settlement request has been successfully accepted.  I'll display the transaction details and copy the PSP reference ID for validation on the PSP side. To do this, I'll switch  to the sandbox environment configured for OPF and search for the reference ID to access the related payment details page.   Here I can confirm that the payment has been authorized and captured successfully.  Returning to the Storefronts Order page, it shows that the order has been completed.  I'll navigate to the Order Details page to initiate the refund process.  This involves requesting a return,  selecting the product to be returned, and submitting the return request.  Next, I log into BackOffice as a customer support agent and navigate to the Returns workspace.  I will wait for the return request to appear.  Optionally, I can choose to refund the delivery cost and save the changes.  Finally, I can approve the return request.  Now, I will log out and log back in as a warehouse agent.  Under Returns Waiting for Goods, I can locate the approved return authorization.   I will simulate the receipt of the returned product by clicking the Accept Goods button.  This action triggers the refund request to the PSP via OPF.  Returning to the transactions page on OPF,  I will search for the refund transition  using the order ID.   I can see that the refund request has been approved.  Additionally, refreshing the payment details page in the PSP back office indicates that the refund has been issued.  This concludes the demonstration of testing payment authorization, capture, and refund within the open payment framework. Thank you for watching!
