Unlocking SAP Concur Expense Entitlement: The Essentials – PET 2026

Hello, everyone, and welcome to this Product Expert Training session, Unlocking the Concur Expense Entitlement. Before we begin, a quick review of the disclaimer for this session. In a nutshell, the session that I'll be sharing today is confidential. This session is for information purposes only, and any forward-looking content is subject to change. I'll also take the time here to share that the deck associated with this training will be provided in the informational page associated to the session. I'd like to start by introducing myself. I'm Scott Islami. I'm part of the Partner Success Team at SAP Concur. I oversee our partner cell programs in North America, and I've recently been focusing on supporting our partner and internal cross-functional communities as part of the GROW and now Finance Premium programs as it relates to the Concur Expense Entitlement. As we begin our session, I just wanted to note that Concur Expense is part of the Finance and Risk line of business at SAP. Here is what we'll cover during this session. We'll start with a quick overview of the SAP Business Suite packages and those packages that include the Concur Expense Entitlement. We'll also review what is included in the Concur Expense Entitlement. I'll then discuss our recommended Concur Expense Packages built on best practices to optimize the client experience. We will finish up with reviewing the Expense Entitlement process to ensure you understand how to claim the Concur Expense Entitlement for your client, as well as deployment of Concur Expense. I'm going to briefly start with the SAP Business Suite packages. I'm sure this community is very familiar with GROW and RISE, so we're just going to focus on where Concur is aligned as an Entitlement. To provide clarity around the SAP Business Suite packages and Concur Expense, you will notice that Concur Expense has traditionally been an Entitlement within GROW Premium. With changes in go-to-market strategy, you can now see that Concur is specifically aligned to SAP Finance Premium. This is not to say that Concur is not available for SAP Finance-based customers, simply that the Concur Expense Entitlement is only available under Finance Premium. This is further illustration of where the Concur Expense Entitlement quote-unquote lives. So when you are looking at the Finance Premium Package on SAP PartnerEdge and navigate to the Entitlements that are included, you will see that Concur Expense Professional is listed as an available Entitlement. The Concur Expense Entitlement with Finance Premium will continue as the same offering that we had with GROW Premium. The Entitlement includes Concur Expense Professional Edition with 100 submitted monthly Expense reports and native integration with SAP Cloud ERP. The Entitlement is only available to net new Finance Premium customers. This offer does not extend to existing Concur Expense customers. It's also important to note that when the customer is ready to implement their Concur Expense Entitlement, they will be charged a standard $10,000 implementation fee by Concur. The client also has the option to contract with a Concur Certified Implementation Partner for their deployment. You can find a list of Concur Certified Implementation Partners at concur.com/partners. Now that we've learned a little more about what's included in the Concur expense Entitlement, I wanted to review other products offered by Concur that enhance the product and service offerings. We've curated packages so that it's easier to navigate and make decisions on optimizing Concur Expense for your clients. On the left, we have the Expense-based Entitlement, basically what comes out of the box when an Entitlement client is ready to implement expense. At Concur, our intent is to optimize the client experience, so we've built recommended packages, starting with the plus pack you see here in the middle. It incorporates a best practices model to include ExpenseIt, user support desk, intelligence, and essential care. This is the setup we typically see with a large population of our clients and provides the best client experience. There is a separate training video which provides a deep dive on the products available in the Plus Pack. I encourage you to view that video after this session. For those larger clients with more sophisticated needs for expense management, we recommend a tailored solution on the right. This incorporates the Plus Pack and adds additional products and services like travel and client web services. For those clients that require a tailored solution, the Concur account owner will coordinate with you and your client to assess needs and recommend products and services accordingly. I wanted to spend some time to set expectations on the partner and client experience with Concur expense. For now, Concur is on a separate platform from SAP, so we'll manage Expense Entitlements in both systems. To begin, a specialist team at Concur will process the Entitlement. They'll reach out to you, the partner, and the SAP account owner that is selling the Finance Premium package to coordinate the order form to claim the Entitlement for your client. It's important to note that the Concur Expense Entitlement needs to be signed simultaneously with Finance Premium, or that client is at risk of losing the Expense Entitlement. Once the client signs their Expense Entitlement, we encourage you and your client to focus on your cloud ERP implementation. Concur needs a stable finance environment in Cloud ERP in order to activate the SAP ERP integration. Concur PBMs will monitor these accounts and remain engaged with your SAP account owner during your ERP cloud implementation. You can expect a Concur PBM to reach out to you within a few months of ERP cloud implementation start to check on status and expect to go live so they can coordinate activities for the Concur Expense deployment. Once your client is ready to activate their Concur Expense Entitlement, the Concur PBM and SAP AE will re-engage with you and your client. We generally recommend that you re-engage with Concur when you are two months from Cloud ERP Go Live, which stated previously generally means a stable finance environment. We highly recommend that you coordinate a discovery call with your client and the Concur account owner in order to review the Entitlement again and re-examine  the client's T&E needs. As I mentioned earlier, the base Entitlement is great, but in order to optimize the experience for the client, we recommend our Plus Pack. So in review, the client has signed their Concur Expense Entitlement. They've gone off and implemented Cloud ERP.  We've re-engaged with them to discuss their T&E needs, and now they're ready to implement Concur Expense. Let's talk about what that looks like for your clients. We offer a fixed price implementation package designed specifically for our Finance Premium customers. This package promotes rapid deployment to facilitate swift adoption and usage. Customers will benefit from a single country deployment and a select set of key scope items. The cost of implementation for all Expense Entitlement clients, if implemented by Concur, is $10,000 if they stay within this scope. If the customer decides to add other products and services, those will have their own implementation costs in addition to the baseline fee, which will of course be reviewed with you and your client. Alternatively, as mentioned, the client may choose to utilize a Concur Certified Implementation Partner for deployment. Cost is based on the contract your client signs with that partner and is a contract separate from Concur. Now that we've learned a bit about the Concur Expense Entitlement, I wanted to provide you with some tools and resources that you can utilize as you start engaging in discussions around Concur Expense. Although Concur is not fully integrated with SAP PartnerEdge yet, we do have a landing page in PartnerEdge, so I recommend you start here. On that page, you'll find that we've curated a partner learning journey for Concur Expense.
