Updating Enumerations within SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing

This video will help customer administrators within SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing maintain their enumerations. Within SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing, enumerations are how administrators can define and update their custom field chooser values. For example, administrators can edit their enumerations to maintain the values displayed for selection if a custom field is a dropdown menu type. SAP Ariba customer support will help with the field configuration that customers cannot manage directly and will establish the dropdown's field properties outside of the enumerations. Members of the Customization Administrator group can import enumeration files using the enumerations task in the Customization Manager workspace in Ariba Administrator through the following procedure. On the dashboard, choose Manage, Administration. Under Customization Manager, choose Enumerations. Select Export and save the enumeration file to your desktop. The file can be exported as either an XLS or a CSV file containing all the enumeration files in one file. If there is more than one enumeration file, you can right-click the file name to export only that file. Open the enumeration file and alphabetically insert the new value in both the display value and value fields. Copy the value in the enumeration field, and then save the file. Choose Import on the Enumerations page and upload the file. A message confirms that the enumeration upload was completed successfully and the added enumerations appear in the chooser for the related field. The SAP Ariba system warns you if the enumerations you are about to import will break referential integrity by overriding existing enumerations.
