Warehouse Inbound Processing Using a Self-Developed  Mobile Task App - SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain

Hello everybody and welcome to microlearnings. My name is Markus Oertelt, I'm an SAP S/4HANA Cloud senior solution  advisor. I work in the area of Product Success and  Customer Co-Innovation at SAP. During this microlearning, we will cover how to use the warehouse inbound  processing using a self-developed SAP mobile app. And this is interesting for you as you can use this microlearning as a test  tutorial of how a mobile app can support you with S/4HANA Cloud in your warehouse  management. If you're an SAP S/4HANA Cloud application  consultant, a process consultant, or a cloud program  manager, this microlearning is especially for you. Our main focus is the warehouse inbound  processing using a self-developed mobile task app, and there we manage inbound deliveries by creating handling units, booking goods  receipt, and also creating a warehouse task. Then, in the warehouse task integration with a  mobile app, we will manage the warehouse task, and we also confirm the warehouse task via the  mobile app. All right, let's do this in the system. Imagine you're the warehouse clerk and you just received an inbound delivery. The first thing you want to do is you want to  open up the app Change Inbound Deliveries. The next thing you see is, in the warehouse  task, there are none created. Also the completion status and goods receipt status are Not Started. You can also use View Settings to integrate, for  example, the logistics delivery. And you can see that the logistics delivery. and the warehouse inbound delivery are actually aligned in the system. Next by clicking on the delivery itself, you want to pack your handling unit, or actually your two pieces in a handling unit. And here, I can pack those two into, for  example, a palette, and then I can also specify the number of handling units, for example two or  one, but those two pieces, they have space in one  handling unit. This is how easily you create a handling unit in your inbound delivery in the warehouse. And you can also look at the information of the newly created handling unit, for example, the batch information is portrayed. So the next thing you want to do is you want to complete goods receipt. So in the background or the financial information and also the material document is created. And then you want to create a warehouse task because you want to move and put away those two pieces in your warehouse. And this, I'm going to show you with a self-developed mobile app, how you can move your two pieces from the goods receipt area to the destination  bin easily with your self-developed app. The thing I want to do is, I want to sign on in my  app. I do this with my fingerprints, and here I see my warehouse number, also my resource, I am resource number one, and I want to check on my assigned orders. In here, see my warehouse task 512, and here now I also see more details, it's open  and for putaway. So the first thing I want to do is I want to scan my goods receipt area. And in my app I just scan it, confirm it, and the next thing I want to do is scan the  product. So my product TG21 is recognized. I enter the actual quantity and also confirm that, and move on to the next step. Now, I moved the goods to the destination bin. And once I arrive at the destination bin, I want to scan the result there as well because I want to make sure I'm at the right  destination bin. The result is correct, I don't get an error  message, and now just confirm the warehouse task. Now moving back to the back end of the ERP, I want to check if my OData service with my self-developed mobile app worked. So here, back in the ERP, I have the app Process Warehouse Tasks, a  putaway. I'm going to say Go and all the warehouse tasks  are shown, but I'm interested in ours, the 512. And here, I see our task we just worked on, and the warehouse task status is Confirmed. If I click on it and go into more details, I see we moved the goods from goods receipt  area to the destination bin SB01-03. This is how easily you can actually use a self- developed app to do your warehouse putaway task. Before ending this microlearning, let's recap what we've covered. Manage inbound deliveries processing with a self-developed SAP mobile warehouse  task app. For further learnings, check out openSAP  course "Building Tomorrow's ERP with SAP S/4HANA" as well as openSAP course "Digital Supply Chain - From Design to  Operate". All right, now it's time to apply what you've  learned. Thank you and goodbye.
