terms & conditions
THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS GOVERN THE PARTICIPATION IN THE SAP AUTHORIZED TRAINER PROGRAM.
BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROGRAM, THE “TRAINER” AGREES TO COMPLY WITH THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM.
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 “Intellectual Property” means patents of any type, design rights, utility models or other similar invention rights, copyrights and related rights, trade secret, know-how or confidentiality rights, trademarks, trade names and service marks and any other intangible property rights, whether registered or unregistered, including applications (or rights to apply) and registrations for any of the foregoing, in any country, arising under statutory or common law or by contract and whether or not perfected, now existing or hereafter filed, issued, or acquired.
1.2 “SAP authorized training partner” or “ATP” means a training provider that has been officially recognized and certified by SAP to deliver high-quality education and training services on SAP software and solutions.
1.3 “SAP Authorization Process” means a rigorous and comprehensive process that reviews trainer applications, ensuring that only highly qualified and experienced professionals are authorized to deliver SAP training. The review process is divided into two main phases: certification validation, a thorough review and vetting of technical and soft skills, and relevant experience.
1.4 “SAP Certification” means the formal validation of an individual's skills and knowledge in using SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) software solutions.
1.5 "SAP Learning Hub Subscription” means a subscription to the online learning platform provided by SAP that offers access to a wide range of training materials, including e-learning courses, hands-on practice, and expert-led sessions.
1.6 “SAP Learning Site” means the website and content at https://learning.sap.com
1.7 “SAP Online Evaluation Survey” or “OES” means a digital survey used by SAP to gather feedback from participants after training courses. The survey aims to assess the quality and effectiveness of the training delivered.
1.8 “SAP Training Resources & Training Materials” mean resources provided by SAP for training purposes, including handbooks, e-learning modules, exercises, and systems.
1. 9“Trainer” means the individual agreeing to these terms and conditions.
2. SAP AUTHORIZED TRAINER PROGRAM & REQUIREMENTS
2.1 To be eligible to participate in the SAP Authorized Trainer Program, the following requirements need to be met:
(a) Trainer to hold a valid SAP Certification in the product or solution area of expertise (Stay Certified)
(b) Trainer to provide a CV with evidence of around 3 to 4 years of experience and/or completed projects in SAP solutions
(c) Trainer to possess soft skills and ideally hold a certification from a recognized trainer soft skills certificate provider (e.g. from GAQM CPT, People 1st, ATD)
(d) Trainer to submit the online application form.
Trainer will receive an email notification from SAP informing Trainer whether their application is approved or not approved. If Trainer has any questions about the SAP Authorized Trainer Program requirements, please refer to the SAP Learning Site and/or contact us at sapauthorizedtrainerprogram@sap.com.
2.2 Trainer Responsibilities
As an SAP Authorized Trainer, Trainer agrees to:
(a) Deliver SAP training programs while upholding core values such as honesty, integrity, transparency, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
(b) Follow trainer guides and use official SAP training material and SAP training system when conducting SAP training sessions.
(c) Maintain and demonstrate the latest up-to-date knowledge and skills of SAP products, methodologies, technologies and SAP Certifications.
(d) Actively promote and support SAP’s brand and values during training engagements.
(e) Provide feedback to SAP regarding SAP Certifications, SAP Training Resources & Training Materials, live sessions and learner experiences.
2.3 SAP’s Responsibilities
SAP agrees to:
(a)Acknowledge receipt of the candidate’s application, assess the trainer application form and notify the result via e-mail:
(i.)If the application is successful, the candidate will receive acceptance and move on to the next phase, a comprehensive end-to-end vetting of soft and technical skills. Only once vetting is successful, the candidate will proceed to a formal onboarding for the SAP Authorized Trainer Program and will be authorized to deliver SAP training.
(ii)If the application is unsuccessful throughout the Authorization Process, the candidate will receive a rejection notification via email, including information on where to upskill to apply again in the future.
(b) Provide continuous support and resources, including comprehensive SAP Training Resources & Training Materials, access to SAP preparation systems, and best practice documentation, to assist the SAP Authorized Trainer in effectively preparing for and delivering high-quality training.
(c) Recognize the trainer as an SAP Authorized Trainer upon fulfilling requirements and successful completion of the required SAP Certifications.
3. TRAINER CERTIFICATION
3.1 Eligibility for Certification
To hold the SAP Authorized Trainer status, the trainer must have the latest SAP Certification(s) relevant to the SAP modules or areas in which intend to provide training. This includes completing SAP’s official certification exams for the specific products and services covered under the program.Certification Renewal
3.2 Failure to Maintain Certification
SAP reserves the right to suspend or revoke the trainer’s authorized status until the required certifications are completed. Failure to maintain valid SAP Certifications for two consecutive years may result in permanent removal from the SAP Authorized Trainer Program.
3.3 Renewal of Certification
The SAP Authorized Trainer status will be renewed once the trainer provides the Certification Credly link as proof of holding the latest SAP Certification to sapauthorizedtrainreprogram@sap.com.
4. USE OF SAP'S TRADEMARKS & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Trainers are permitted to use SAP’s trademarks, logos, and Training Materials solely in connection with the delivery of SAP Training courses via SAP or an ATP. Trainers may not use SAP’s Intellectual Property for any unauthorized purposes, including but not limited to personal branding, resale, or distribution of SAP Training Resources & Training Materials.
5. CONFIDENTIALITY
SAP Authorized Trainers have the responsibility to safeguard the confidentiality of all information provided by SAP that is deemed sensitive or proprietary. This includes a broad spectrum of data such as SAP Training Resources & Training Materials, customer details, and internal business operations. Importantly, this duty of confidentiality does not expire upon the conclusion of the trainer's participation in the program.
6. FEES
Participation in the SAP Authorized Trainer Program is free. However, there are fees associated with taking SAP Certification if the trainer does not hold already an SAP Learning Hub subscription (https://www.sap.com/training-certification/learning-hub.html).
7. PRIVACY, PRIVATE PERSONAL INFORMATION USAGE (GDPR COMPLIANCE)
SAP is committed to protecting Trainer’s personal data. Trainer will be protected by the governing privacy statement found on the candidate application form at https://www.sap.com/.
7.1Data Collection
7.1.1Under the SAP Authorized Trainer Program Terms & Conditions, SAP will collect and process personal data for the following purposes:
(a) Manage and validate personal Trainer certifications.
(b)Communicate with the Trainer about their SAP Certification status and any updates(c)Monitor and analyze SAP Training customer satisfaction by regularly reviewing feedback from Online Evaluation Surveys (OES) to enhance the user experience for future courses.(d)Collect Trainer feedback after the training has been delivered.
7.1.2The types of data we collect to approve access to the SAP Authorized Trainer Program include:
(a) Full Name
(b) Email address and phone number details
(c) Home address and home country
(d) Certification name and certification Credly link as proof
(e) Trainer CV outlining expertise
(f) User ID
7.1.3 SAP will only use the above information for internal approval and authorization purposes. If the Trainer comes from an ATP, SAP reserves the right to disclose the approval or rejection of trainer outcomes only to the ATP in place.
8. CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM
8.1. SAP reserves the right to discontinue the SAP Authorized Trainer Program, to change any aspect of it at any time, including the program requirements, benefits or program fee. There will be no refund of any fees. SAP will give Trainer 60 days written notice if SAP intends to discontinue the SAP Authorized Trainer Program. These notices will be sent to the email provided by Trainer in their application. All other changes will be posted on the SAP Learning Site.
8.2. Trainer is responsible for checking the SAP Learning Site regularly for changes. Changes are effective on the date the changes are posted. Changes do not apply retroactively. If Trainer does not agree to the changes, Trainer’s sole remedy is to terminate their SAP Authorized Trainer status and their participation in the SAP Authorized Trainer Program.
9. TERMINATION
9.1. Subject to the termination rights detailed herein, these Terms & Conditions will remain in effect as long as the SAP Authorized Trainer remains certified and in good standing with the program.
9.2. Termination without cause
Either party may terminate these Terms & Conditions at any time, without cause, on 30 days’ prior written notice by email.
9.3. Termination with cause
9.3.1. SAP at its discretion, may immediately terminate these SAP Authorized Trainer Program Terms & Conditions, or immediately suspend Trainer’s participation (at SAP’s sole discretion) if:
(a) Trainer breaches or fails to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions; or
(b) Trainer takes any action that may damage SAP’s reputation or brand; or
(c) Trainer intentionally falsified their SAP Certification, credentials; or
(d) Trainer engages in misappropriation or unauthorized disclosure of any trade secret or SAP Confidential Information or pirate any SAP software, technology or product, or otherwise infringe any other intellectual property right of SAP.
9.3.2. The effect of termination:
(a) Cease all activity relating to the SAP Authorized Trainer Program; and
(b) Stop identifying as a participant in the SAP Authorized Trainer Program.
10. AUDITS
During the Term of this SAP Authorized Trainer Program Terms & Conditions and for 3 years thereafter, SAP reserves the right to audit all aspects of Trainer’s participation in the Program to verify statements issued by Trainer, including their technical knowledge and instruction skills, Trainer’s compliance with this, information distributed by the SAP Authorized Trainer Program, all licenses, and other terms that are applicable to, accompanies or is included with any SAP Authorized Trainer benefit and other content.
11. MISCELLANEOUS
Non-exclusivity
Trainer’s participation in the SAP Authorized Trainer Program is voluntary. Nothing in these SAP Authorized Trainer Terms & Conditions restricts Trainer from teaching, supporting, promoting, distributing, or using non-SAP technology.
