Enrich your workspace

Add additional Content to your workpage

In this section, we will enrich our workpage with embedded web content and a slideshow.

Add Embedded Web Content

  1. Open your workspace Sales Management .

    Open
  2. Select the pencil icon to open the Page Designer.

  3. Scroll down to the section just before the Feed and select + to add another section.

  4. Select Add Widget to open the widget gallery.

  5. Select the Cards widget and then choose Web Content Card:

  6. Configure the web content card with the following values:

    Area Input
    Card Header Title Create Sales Order
    Card Header Subtitle Blank (remove existing text)
    Card Header Icon Internet Browser
    Target URL See Below Note
    Height 400

    Configure

For the field Target URL of the Embedded Content, please follow the below instructions:

  1. If you are using this workbook as part of a package with SAP Build Apps, please use the URL of the SAP Build Apps application that you deployed earlier.

  2. If you are using this workbook for a standalone SAP Build Work Zone Trial, or if you do not have access to the SAP Build Apps URL you previously deployed, please use the Lobby link.

  1. Then select Save and the Web Content should then load in the card on your work page (this can take up to 15 seconds).

    Configure
  2. Select Publish to add this web content to your page.

Add a Slideshow from a PDF File

  1. Open the Page Designer by selecting the Pencil icon on the right of the screen.

  1. Scroll to the top of the page and select Content in the breadcrumbs.

  1. On the Content overview screen, select Upload File and choose the document Empower Business Users to Build Sites Visually with a Low-Code Experience.pdf from the workspace_content.zip folder, which you downloaded at the start of this exercise.

PDF
  1. Select upload on the next screen to add this file to your workspace content (leave all options as default values).

  1. Return to your work page by selecting the work page name (Sales Orders), and then open the Page Designer using the pencil icon.

  1. Scroll down to the section just before the Feed (below where you previously added your embedded web content) and select + to add another section.

  1. Select Add Widget in the new section to open the widget gallery.

  1. Select Slideshow and then select Select a PDF or presentation file to display as a slideshow.

  1. On the Choose Existing Content menu, select the previously uploaded PDF file and then choose select.

  1. The PDF file will be added as a slideshow to your work page, as below

  1. Scroll to the top of the Page Designer and select Publish and then Publish again. You will now see the embedded web content can be interacted with on your work page and the slideshow can be navigated using the arrow icons in the widget.
